Hi ladies, i recently came across thebamboo shopper tote in medium. I went to Gucci yesterdayand the SA said if the bag would not be in use like 1month onwards (kept in wordrobe) the bamboo might go straight itself. And she mentioned there's a retainer for the handle if u were to keep it for sometime before u decided to use it. I am curious about this retainer, of how it looks like and how it suppose to be use on the handle. Can some kind soul show it here? Thanks alot.

If you look through the pics you'll see one. They are just made of plastic.

I really think your SA was really overstating the case. Unless you live in an amazingly humid place your handle will be fine even if you stored the handle for a year, people make bicycles from bamboo. Most of these commercial bags have been around for a few months in backrooms and in transit anyway.

I haven't used my BTH in the past 6 months and the handles look fine so no need to worry at all!!! Where I live the weather gets very humid in the summer and early fall (though I have invested in a very good dehumidifier).

Another question i would like to ask. For shopper tote, the "made in italy by Gucci" is stamped on. Will it fade/ scratch off easily?

No, it stays firmly in place.

But after carrying it for a year (and not carrying it very often) I can tell you that the leather "sags." And, as you can see, not in a good way!

ETA: This is the Medium, in Maple Brown.

Yes, it's blue. Don't remember the exact tone, I think it's baby blue.

ladies, another question on bamboo handle.
I have sweaty palm (yea sadly) sometimes it gets really sweaty. Will it damage the handle in the long run (even if i rotate using the bag)?
