I have a question. Does anyone have difficulty taking the jumping boots off when it is 1-2 months old? There is no way for me to take this off myself without the help of another and I always wanted to fly with this but then I will not want to be laughing stock when passing through security check and not able to take off my boots by myself.

Hahah you are funny:) I cannot offer advice here - tried very hard to put them on - but my calf is just too big for these boots:( I am still obsessing over them. You are so lucky to have a pair, enjoy!!!

You have no idea how many funny moments I have with this boot trying to take it off! I have to hold myself onto a table while my friend was trying to pull it off.

I would not wear them when flying. You say you cannot get them off yourself. Why even consider wearing them on à flight?? That would be like asking for trouble:-)

I think most people have problems when taking them off. At least that is my impression after reading about them on tpf.

You can use a boot jack to take the boots off. I could never remove my show riding boots without this thing. I wouldn't suggest wearing the Jumping boots through security unless you are able to slip them on and off easily without having to carry this block of wood around in your luggage.

Thank you ouija board for this suggestion!
It made my new years Eve:)
I am imagining yodaling travelling with a boot jack in her birkin and taking it out at the security check to get out of her boots:)

i still have difficulty taking off the boots even after 10 months. i can take them off on my own but it takes a while. my jumping boots are in box calf though and the leather is still very stiff. have tried on ones in swift and it is a lot easier getting in and out. if you can't take them off easily on your own, i would definitely not recommend wearing them to airports.

Gosh I am glad someone is in the same boat. I thought I was out of my mind when I can't take off the boots!! I basically went out one day wearing the boots and came home wearing them to do house chores because no one was at home to take it off for me.

The boot jack is interesting. Have you tried this with your boot? Does it scratch the leather? I might as well bring this LOL as long as they do not think this is harmful

You can find ones that have leather lining the part where you wedge the heel of the boot. I used mine all the time when riding..it's the only way I could get my show boots off. The one I have is all wood, and when I used it at the barn, it only scratched the boots if I didn't take the time to wipe off the dirt/sand from my boots before using it.

:D This gave me a good chuckle! I encountered the same thing. I think it has to do with the feet swelling after wearing it awhile. I don't think it's a good idea to try and wear it through security. Too much hassle and I don't want to be the person holding up line. No help, just some commiseration.
