Hi ladies -- does anyone know if Hermes will repair/resole the boots? I assume so, that they could be spa-ed and refurbished like handbags or saddles. I don't want to put rubber bottoms on the toe and heel if I don't have to -- I love how they look with the little nails, so perfectly handmade -- but I don't want to jeopardize them either. I can ask my SA, but just curious if anyone knew.

I asked my SA about this when I bought mine at Madison last fall. She said that H will do repairs on the boots, but not if you put an aftermarket sole on them. I considered adding the soles as well, but she said absolutely not - nothing but basic polish for upkeep and return to H for anything more than that.

My understanding is that H Madison sends their shoes / boots off property to be conditioned and or resoled, but that it is a cobbler of their choosing. Perhaps someone else can chime in on this.

Great info - thank you so much, Monceau.

I wear a 38 in Choo, and 7.5 US and 38 (mostly) in Chanel and these boots (and I have SEVERAL pairs from different years) run true to size, IMO . I take a 37.5, 7.5 in the Hermes Kelly Jumping boots. These boots are all handmade still. But the thing is the calf width. They are fairly narrow so in that way it is good to try them on. Each year Herems does different colors LE along with the standard black. One year they did Etoupe Swift, another year they Rouge H Box (sold out instantly and totally FAB!, my all time FAV) also Moka, Ebene (hard to tell apart but the Moka are more casual) and this year I heard Etain is the LE color. These boots are hard to get on and off but once on they are so comfortable and mold to your foot over time. I understand a boot jack is shelpful. They are a wonderful investment IMO. Hermes had an Asian cut Kelly Jumping boot which is a little shorter in height.

Tanker Toad, just read your post. Many thanks, this is a wealth of info on the jumping boots.

Any other input is greatly appreciated. I have tried the Oran and although lengthwise 37 is perfect, the width leaves my feet sliding at every step. No reasonable amount of insoles will enable me to pull it off :( No swift jumping boots to try in the store either, so am hoping H.com will send me a really good fitting pair.
