What a fantastic outfit!! Simply stunning my dear!

I just found my etoupe boots and got 38 but they are big in the foot and also fairly large around my calves. I can stick my leg in and slide it inside (and out) without any help from my hands. I should have gotten a 37,5, ugh, such a hassle to Exchange from hermes.com!:D:p

I only opted for the 38 since I was afraid of the tight calf fit!

The point is, you have this gap, AND they are too big for your feet. To me it's worth the try, if your store is not too far away.
It is hermes.fr I got them from.

What I am arguing about having a Little bigger size feet wise, is that they won´t get ugly feet formations as quickly. They are in Swift so the leather is much more supple than box. I would not worry about that if they were box. With an insole and socks they fit fine. The gap is still there which was my concern......not the feet so much.:smile1:

thank you Kat!! and congrats on the etoupe..hmmm....i understand your dilemma..it took me a while to find my etain ones!! each pair is different though in my experience even in the same size! what I would advise is to get the 37.5 from h.com, try it and decide which one to keep and then return the one you don't want. one pair of 38 is too tight and another pair too loose even in same leather!! it has happened to me so i will advise trying each pair before deciding which one to keep..unless you are sure you don't want the 38! returning and buying a new pair is probably easier and quicker than exchanging..hth..let me know what you decide!

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer at length! I think I have decided to keep the 38, less ugly toe formations etc and I like being able to fit jeans easily. Your rouge H are amazing and have always been the top of my wishlist but they are hard to track down!! I think I want a black pair too.

Here is todays picture and the gap is not very visible:-).

Based on that picture, I'd keep the 38 for sure. Better to err on the side of "easier to pull on" with these boots. They are not forgiving of even a little weight gain/bloating at all! Glad you found your boots!

Thank you! Very wise! Some days may be "bloatier" than others and they are too expensive to grow out of!!

Hi ladies, after admiring the pictures in this thread for so long, I've finally gotten my hands on a pair of black box Jumping boots. According to the measurements on the H website, comparing with the measurements of another pair of boots I have, my size should fit just right in the calves when I'm wearing tights (jeans would be another story!). But of course they turn out to be 3/4 of an inch smaller than the H site's estimate and they squeeze the heck out of my calves right at the top-- especially because I'm tall, so the top part of the boot that curves in doesn't reach up high enough to correspond to the place where my calves curve in as well! The squeezing isn't the kind of thing where I can just wear them around a bit to ease them up, because the squeeze means I can't pull them up the last inch, and I don't want the leather to crease at the ankles while I'm waiting to be able to get the tops up all the way.

I don't want to give up on them-- they're far, far too beautiful-- so I'm guessing my best bet is a boot stretcher. Does anyone have a recommendation for someone trustworthy either in NYC or in London? I'm scared to hand them over to an unknown cobbler!
