TankerToad, thank you for your kind words. It is a great compliment coming from you since you are the queen of jumping boots (i know you have one in every colour) along with an amazing H collection!! i searched for the rouge H for more than a year, all over the world (US, Europe, Asia), before finding my size in Nice, France. was sooo happy :D

I found my boots all over the world. too!! There is one color I don't have. hehe......
However the Rouge H boots remain incredibly rare and so wonderful. Not just that they are red but that they are Box leather. So glad your search paid off.
The magic of Hermes is that you know never know what you will find where. Like a treasure hunt.....

totally agree that it is like a treasure hunt with Hermes. that's why it is so addictive, you never know what you will find whenever you visit a H store.
am curious to know which colour don't you have? etain? thats my next one!! :smile1:

Thanks. I finally took the plunge and ordered them online just now, so I'll post pics if they fit. I ordered 1/2 size down from my Louboutin size, does that sound right to everyone?
I just ordered through my husband and BINGO they were my right size, even a little big enough to wear medium thick socks and tuck in jeans. Yes, tuck in JEANS from the beginning. I ordered same size with my Louboutin and Tod's. But a full size down from Repetto. Hermes half size is a big difference. For fun I tried at a local store half size down and I was able to get into them but they were skin tight. Every step I took you can trace the shape of my toes. I think you did the right thing by going half size down. Even though you might receive them a wee big on you, if its a wee extra space that is right. Half size is enormous difference. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the sizing report. Sounds like they will most likely fit perfectly. I'm glad you like yours, have you posted modeling pics yet? I'll probably go through the thread and see...

My jumping boots are size 37 which is 1/2 to 1 size smaller than I usually wear. I wear 37.5 in other H shoes, 37.5 in Roger Vivier and 38 in Jimmy Choo. I tried both black and brown jumping boots in the store though and found that one pair fit tighter than the other. The SA said that the sizing varies because they are handmade.

Sometimes its the coloring molecular element or agent that tightens the fabric or leather more dense. I find in almost any clothing or leather product, the darker the coloring is they tend to fit tighter on me. I am no scientist but when I get my hair colored whenever its darker my hair tend to "squeak". Don't know how else I can put it better, but anyways I once heard from a professional that the coloring molecules are smaller in darker color than in lighter color so they tend to go deeper into of the host surface.

And also regarding the Jumping Boots they are all handmade, they are all different how they are sewed. Although the sole of the boots should come in same mold cut accordingly to their respectable size.

The jumping boots arrived and fit perfectly. They aren't very fitted on my calves, but not "too" big either. I love them, wore them 2 days in a row with my new H scarves. Here are pics:

Thanks, this makes sense. The ones that fit tighter were indeed darker - they were black and I ended up getting the brown ones.
