I got my first pair of Kelly boots today! :yahoo: Tried finding them last month in Paris, but none of the 3 stores had any stock. It seems the Wall Street store received a new shipment recently because they had many colors and sizes. What I didn't know (and maybe you all know already) is that the boots come in 2 different shaft heights and 2 different calf circumferences.

These are in the the tall shaft height and small calf circumference. I am 5'11 and usually size 38/38.5, but had to go down to 37 in these boots.

Wow- these look amazing on you!:heart::tup:

Congratulations and thanks for the information!:ty:

Would you ladies say the jumping boot has the smallest calf circumference between their boots? I have big feet and slender calves so boots are always a nightmare, but I'm wondering if these would actually work for me.

Got my Jumping boots today, Etain swift size 37.5, at last found a size that fit can manage to get them on and off ok.

congrats..! its gorgeous. any modelling pics? i am thinking of getting one for xmas :smile1:

best to try them on as each pair is handmade and may vary slightly from one pair to the next in the same size but having slender calves should help with the ones made in boxcalf! the ones made in swift are softer and easier to wear..

In general, yes the calf is very slim on these boots, while in my experience the foot runs a tad big. So if anyone was theoretically "made for" these boots, it might be you! But yes, it's best to try these on first because each pair can vary in calf size, even in the same shoe size. I only own the ones made of stiffer box calf, I don't know if the swift ones may fit differently or larger on you.

Love these boots on you.

Question - Is it redundant to have both the black land boots and black jumping boots? Trying to justify both .........

NEED HELP!!!
I am trying to decide between two sizes. They are being held while I make up my mind.
Both sizes slip on and off without any problems. My heel rises in both pairs, the differences between the two are as follows:
The smaller of the two are fine in length, but slightly tight across the top of my foot. When I walk, my heels rub the back of the boot more than the larger pair. The smaller pair was fairly comfortable during my try on time in the store

The larger pair (1/2 size up) seem fine in length as well. They are not tight across the top and I do not notice my heels rubbing as much. My foot moves somewhat in them, but I did not feel any major slippage.

From looks alone, those smaller pair looked like it fit better, the larger size looks a little bigger in the top of the boot, it seems to "collapse" a little when walking where the top connects to the shaft.
From a comfort perspective, the larger boots are super comfortable from the moment I put them on.

Which should I go with? Do the jumping boots stretch in the top and sides of the foot?
I would greatly appreciate any advice.

if it is in box, i would pick the larger size for comfort, the box is very stiff and will take years to soften. if it is swift, then the smaller pair. hth.

I will go against the tide and say go with the smaller fit. These boots mold to your foot over time and leather gives. These are lifetime boots. If you need to have them stretched jsut a bit a cobbler can do it. Whenever I have both boots too big I regret it. In the case of jumping boots I take my true size and find they adjust to my foot.
You can always wear them with tights at first and then socks later.

I have larger calf but I feel like I cannot live without a pair of jumping boots! So I have a pair on its way to me. Can someone share their experiences, tricks, fixes that you have done to be able to wear the jumping boots with larger calf?
I am 5'11" so the Asian cut version with larger shaft is not really an option for me - they are too short.
Any advice is appreciated!

Thanks, chincac, I didn't think about the difference in leather. These are box.

Go with the more comfortable pair, the larger size. The smaller pair will eventually crease around the ankles as well, as you walk in them.
I'm leaning this way, but I'm heading back today to make a decision, Thanks!

Thanks for the info, TT. Fortunately, they are both roomy enough in length, so no problems there. They also both come on and of with no problem, so no calf issues at all (which is a relief - I've read so many horror stories here about the calf issue.)
I was so excited that I could get them on that I did not even think about what I would wear them with! I need to try them with tights as well because I plan to wear them with dresses as well. Yesterday, I tried them on with socks and tucked in my bootcut jeans, so I'm sure there will be some sizing difference with tights.
The only issues with the smaller pair is they are a little narrow in my right foot and that heel rubs a little when I walk. That might change with thinner socks or tights.
I'm heading back to try them both again today, so I appreciate your suggestions!
