I agree with this idea. But I do think if you state you are a member, be prepared for people to ask. Otherwise, don't say that you're a tpf member if you are not willing to share the information. If you say you won't give your name out, you appear fraudulent. But the advice that sarahloveslouis gives is a good idea.

True. I authenticated two Chanel's from the ATC thread just within the last few weeks that were fake, and the sellers were TPF members (I believe they were and not just claiming to be) according to the auctions.
