I've been looking at the hobo. I'm liking the colorblock look, but do you know what is "full grain buffalo nubuck"? Isn't nubuck faux/simulated leather?

No, nubuck is NOT faux leather!!! It's top-grain leather which has been sanded or buffed on the top side to give it a velvet-like feel.

Thanks for the information, I always wondered but never asked.

It's real leather, but it's equally as high maintenance as suede IMHO. I personally wouldn't touch it. I've had sandals in nubuck and they are a HUGE pain to keep looking nice.

Thank you so much, Prada Psycho - you just saved me a world of headache! I was considering nubuck but am not someone who likes to have to baby things. Fortunately, the Oxalis also comes in a full calf leather version. Still debating that vs. a Loewe though!

I am a big fan of FURLA :-)

I have three bags ( had 5 but gave 2 to my mother and my grandmother), a beautiful brown wallet, a keypouch, a scarve and a tshirt from their talent hub special collection :)

I  my zaffiro too. You can wear it on your shoulder but it is also handheld. You can wear it closed or open ( see picture).

I use it for my university. It can hold a lot - even if it looks small.

I wanted to love Furla but my only retail experience didn't exactly reflect well on the brand. I went in to the 5th avenue store in NYC and asked the friendly SA where Furla made their bags and wallets. She told me everything was made in Italy. I checked the inside of the wallet I was holding and there was a very subtle MADE IN CHINA label staring me right in the face. The girl probably had no idea what she was talking about and just said whatever she felt she needed to to make a sale but to have an SA lie to me as I'm holding the product in question in my hands was a bit much.

Yes, some of Furla products are made in China.
You can read about it in a book by Dana Thomas ( How luxury losts its luster)

All my furla handbags are made in Italy ( I hope so :lawl: ) but my small leather goods are made in China. It doesn´t bother me, because they are very durable and the leather looks and smells gorgeous :-) The price is also not as expensive as the price of high designer bags.
