LOL elle.

Actually what is think is sad is that the seller comes on and is so 'nice' of course to look good to everyone, but then signs up for another tPF name and is rude?? The nerve!
11 days without a response, I think I might have gone crazy. My response earlier just was asking if you were expecting more because she is an "ebay store". Now that I think about it though... it really doesnt make a difference, 11 days is rediculous, holidays or not. It only takes a few seconds to respond.. but then again, they were probably focusing their attention on $$ aka listing new items.

Consider this...
I messaged/emailed seller on 12/22 that "item return was shipped, please advise when received". Return was received on the 24th, meaning bodies were in the office, as it was signed for. Did I expect a response on the 24th? NO.
Messaged/emailed again on the 28, as on the 28th they had MANY new listings.. which indicates bodies are back at work. Messaged/emailed again on the 30th. Then was New Years. Messaged/emailed again on the 4th.
7600 items listed between 28th-4th. I have to wonder, with all those new items being listed, were they ALSO not responding to buyer inquiries of purchase? Surely not!

My impression was that Linda was giving an explanation as to why there

was a delay in processing EM refund and she offered an APOLOGY.

Yes the time frame was not appropriate but there was a holiday.

Thought Linda handled this professionally and addressed the issue

appropriately.

Very true, Hotshot. Once the dispute was filed, CS was great, and she has apologized and been very gracious.
My main issue was not w/ the delay in refund, but w/ the overall lack of response period. As I said B4, had ANYONE responded anytime between the 28th-4th and said "yes, your return was received (no one even ever acknowledged this), due to the holidays, refunds will be processed after such & such date".... all would have been well.

I too agree that Linda's response "sounded" professional, although I seriously doubt they pay authenticators.

There is clear evidence in posts here and on the Ebay boards that Lindas*stuff has listed fakes repeatedly over the years. There was a big thread about this seller on the Ebay board about 8 months ago. Perhaps it's in the archives now.

I have purchased from Lindas*stuff twice. First time, within her first year on Ebay - no problem at all. My last transaction the wrong item was sent to me, it arrived only after I emailed 4 times asking WHERE my item was (it was sent 22 days after purchase). I eventually got my refund, but that was because I filed with Pay Pal within a day of sending the item back. I didn't want to run out of time to file and I lost complete faith in Lindas*stuff.

Obviously the business is too big and they can't handle it. Ellie I'm so glad you got your refund. :)

Exactly! You just wanted some form of contact. That's not too much to ask. if they want customers to keep coming back and buying from them, take the time to communicate with the people that they are taking money from.

I'm sure if the shoe was on the other foot and you had taken 11 days to pay them and had not bothered to answer their emails asking when they could expect payment, they would not have been too happy either, kwim?

I for one appreciate the heads up about these sellers since I see them on ebay all the time.

I guess even if there were no doubts on authenticity of the item, buyers should try to contact seller before bidding or winning the bid just to test whether seller have the tendency to ignore messages. I wouldn't buy from someone who ignore my queries/messages or rude in their reply.

Yep, that's always a good plan. And this seller was very responsive to pre-sale queries & even the request to return. After that, nada.:confused1:

Thanks Apricot. Sorry you had the same type issues. I felt the same way.
They give 3 ways to contact... ebay, email, phone. I am not a believer of PHONE in this type transaction, as I am the Queen of yapping "create a record" and phone conversations do NOT create a record. Email and ebay create a record. Most businesses offer that means of contact for exactly the same reason. It's also much more time efficient.

Good point! I had not thought of that, but I can bet they would not have waited 11 days. Nor would I expect ANY seller to. Holidays or not.

I don't understand why all of you are still talking about this stupid refund. It's over and done with. This situation is an exception considering that it happened to fall over 2 holidays. You MUST take that into consideration. I've worked with Linda as well for many years and come to find that all of my questions are always answered in a timely manner. If you would have bought this bag from any online department store (Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus, etc.) would you expect a refund the DAY they receive it? Absolutely not! Ellie Mae completely blew this situation out of proportion and all of you that are jumping on her bandwagon are ridiculous.

I am sorry.. every time I read this I LOL. :D

Swanks, is this REALLY an associate/same person as the seller??????? If it is, there is what's wrong w/ the CS right there.

god, this thread got a life of is own!
glad you got your refund ellie mae !
and,as i see it the main problem with the CS was the lack of any kind of response after the item has been mailed back to them. as ebay buyers we all appreciate a seller than keeps communicating with us especially when issues like a return occur.

WOW! Ellie Mae, I just finished reading the whole thread & I guess I'm a little late w/ the whole thing going on. I'm really sorry this happened to you of all people, the wrong person to mess up with. I'm really glad that everything has been worked out & you got your money back. Hopefully, Linda will do something to improve the way they operate.

 Cheers! to you Ell & wishing you a Happy, healthy, Peaceful & Prosperous New Year.
