Wow, that stinks that you had to file a dispute.... during that same time, I purchased something from her and got it shipped within a few days. They should have responded sooner to your emails, especially if they're conducting business like normal. I'm glad it all worked out in the end though... we all know better now to double check those photos!!

god, this thread got a life of is own!
glad you got your refund ellie mae !
and,as i see it the main problem with the CS was the lack of any kind of response after the item has been mailed back to them. as ebay buyers we all appreciate a seller than keeps communicating with us especially when issues like a return occur.

LOL... yes, ANY communication at all would have sufficed.

WOW! Ellie Mae, I just finished reading the whole thread & I guess I'm a little late w/ the whole thing going on. I'm really sorry this happened to you of all people, the wrong person to mess up with. I'm really glad that everything has been worked out & you got your money back. Hopefully, Linda will do something to improve the way they operate.

 Cheers! to you Ell & wishing you a Happy, healthy, Peaceful & Prosperous New Year.

Thank you Imlv, a blessed New Year to you also!

Glad to hear your money is returned EM!

And I can fully understand how & why they might sell fakes.
If as Heather describes....then.....Items are not authenticated, the actual item owner writes the description. Linda & Fred would often be selling things they never see. So I think it's very plausible that they could easily list fakes and easily accept fakes in returns.
And yes, you'll likely never see more photos that what gets listed w/ the item originally.

Is this really true? I thought they are similar to Yogo's Closet or Fashionphile. Don't they have the items in their store? I'm confused about this.

Sorry to be OT.

Good to know!

Unfortunately, the pictures are not always so telling. The same bag I returned has been relisted w/ exactly the same photos as prior.

Congratulations dear EllieMae on getting your refund!!! :yahoo:

Amazing isn't it that some sellers will just relist the item without mentioning the defects. Just happened to me with that damaged Hermes scarf I returned!

OMG, merrydish! Well, watch for it on the ATH & if someone presents it for authentication, at least maybe you can forewarn them. YIKES

What a rotten thing to do! All the more reason not to let them get their listing fees back (as in Ellie Mae's case) because they're obviously not learning from their mistakes and/or just don't care.

Linda

Well... unfortunately... after Linda's gracious phone call & posted apology yesterday, I saw fit to do MY best to be amicable, and at their request, I did revise feedback to a neutral, and I did agree to a cancellation.
As I said, she was being very gracious and trying to make amends, and I was doing my best to do likewise.

However, after the lovely post by Jwizzles about my "stupid refund" and how "ridiculous we all are", AND now seeing the item relisted w/out any further disclosure or pix of actual condition.... I wonder about the sincerity.
