Sorry to hear this.

I emailed them questions about an LV listing before, and they refused to send addtl pics, not to mention that I had to email two or three times before they answered. Also, FYI...they have listed at least 2 LV fakes that I can remember.

Hope it all works out! I'm sure you'll be refunded......someday. >:(

And I can fully understand how & why they might sell fakes.
If as Heather describes....then.....Items are not authenticated, the actual item owner writes the description. Linda & Fred would often be selling things they never see. So I think it's very plausible that they could easily list fakes and easily accept fakes in returns.
And yes, you'll likely never see more photos that what gets listed w/ the item originally.

UPDATE: no need to call. Seems filing a dispute does get some attention. Money refunded... and now there is a request for a cancellation, and an email message from FRED. Now we know 1 way to get their attention.

Really shouldn't have had to come to you filing a dispute (or even calling them), to get their attention, though.

Perhaps they should consider hiring a couple more people to man their email account? :D

You have a point. They offer email contact. Typically even HUGE co's who offer email CS, repond w/in 24-48 hrs. Do you do business w/ ANY company online who does not respond w/in 11 days?
My point is.. if no one is going to respond, then don't offer email contact. Or set up a auto vacay response if you plan to be gone. Something...??
I would have kept waiting had I received ANY response.

I agree looking at it from your perspective that you cant imagine how they couldnt just click the refund button, but when they have that many listings and things going on, I can only imagine!! I do agree with you that they maybe need to hire more people to have the emails answered in a timely fashion (with in 24 hours). You are right that you shouldnt have to call, if they do offer email.

Also, if they can't respond within a timely manner (say, 48hrs), most of them send out a message saying they've received your email, but that they're currently experiencing a particularly high number of enquiries, at the moment, so their response may be delayed (or something like that), don't they?

Perhaps Linda could consider something along those lines, in future?

Glad to see that you got the refund. Odd though, I have purchased a bunch of clothing from them, all without problem. I do know that there have been issues with bags--which is why I have not purchased bags from them. You have to really look at the photos too, sometimes the clothing is REALLY wrinkled or looks a bit wrecked. JMTC

I'm so glad you got your refund, but I agree, just an email or something to say that they had received it would have put your mind at ease. I hate when there is no communication when it only takes a minute to do, especially when you comply with their rules. Thanks for alerting us to what can happen with this seller. I always thought that everything they listed was authentic and would not have thought to question anything I bought from them.

I'm guessing she means would you have also expected an equally timely response and/or refund, had this been a private seller selling their own stuff and would you have filed a dispute after the same length of time, had the same thing happened with that private seller as happened here?

Or would you have given the private seller a little more leeway, as selling isn't their profession?

I just want to say that I've been buying and selling with Linda's Stuff for several years now and am proud to say that Linda is personally involved with her customers. She tries very hard to answer calls and provide the utmost in customer satisfaction. She and her staff are hardworking and extremely honest. No one is absolutely perfect and at times things slip thru the cracks. Please bear in mind, there were 2 holidays that occurred on weekends. That would cause a huge backlog for a company. I'm sure being on your end of it, it must have been very frustrating. However, I can assure you and everyone else on this board that Linda and her staff are honorable, hard-working, diligent people and shouldn't hestitate to do business with Linda's Stuff. :D
