Family and Friends give you grief over your Handbag addiction?

I dont think buying a house or saving for one is any ones decision but mine. I see you both live in the USA which actually makes a lot of difference on your opinion. I live in australia so when we turn 18, we become legal to everything.(driving, alcohol ect) Im still only learning how to drive, so i'm not gonna start saving up for a house when i don't even own a car yet. I only work part-time and being still in school, i just don't think its the right time yet. I have told my parents that as soon as i start getting a full time job, i will put my all into it! But for now, I think i deserve all the bags i have, and im lucky enough to also have an aunty who LOVES bags and buys one for me occasionally

this is true. technically all of us could be buying something else besides handbags.
i know i should be! but sometimes i like to indulge!

They used to but have kind of gotten over it.. Although, I haven't purchased really another bag since my Chanel since I have so many designer bags. I've put a cap on my 30 or something bags.

My SO already thinks I have too many bags, and his opinion is only based on the ones he actually knows about . About half of my bag collection is a secret to him, carried on days when I know he won't see it. They're paid for out of my own savings account, but I know he wouldn't approve.

Anyone else have a secret bag collection? Do you think this is a bad habit?

My DH knows about all of my bags and he even tells me to use them (especially the ones he had bought me) as much as I can.

The only person who has no idea about my bag collection is my MIL LOL (she has seen me carry a few pieces but not all of it)

You're right; secrets aren't good. I don't know if I would be mad at him if the roles were reversed, but maybe concerned.

There was definitely a time when my DH did not know about half my bags, but now he knows about all of them and even has gotten me several as gifts. He's OK with it as long as I stick to my buy one sell one rule (due to limited space). I also sell bags as a side business so now he respects my passion for bags more and actually offers his opinion on some bags (he likes Chanel LOL)!

Haha, me too, not to mention the shoes I hide from him until I wear them. When he asks is that new, I say no baby look at the sole they're worn!
