Wore a Diane Gilman silk outfit I proudly saved up my pennies to purchase. Worked at a conservative investment bank at the time. Some woman, who I wasn't on a speaking terms, came up behind me and flipped my collar behind my neck, to read the label on my shirt.

I would have lost my &%$# (and maybe my job) that day. How unacceptable. Judge all you want. But don't touch! Sorry that happened to you, but welcome to the wisdom of age!

I thought I replied to this query, but maybe it was a similar thread lol

My family and friends, including my MIL, have made zero negative comments since I began gifting them new or gently used Luxury items (H, chanel mainly) that did not work for me

I also adore @hlh0904 ’s comment re work appropriate stuff. And thanks to @BVBookshop for quoting it and bringing it to my attention :)

My mom has definitely told me to not buy too many handbags, but that's from experience! She had a handbag phase too, and she finds most of them are now just sitting in her closet. As long as I don't buy too many, or I don't spend too much, I think I can get away with this. Buy what you love and use it!
