Here's a pic of Latte that I received from my SA. It looks a little greenish to me. I questioned the green tint so she took pics of Latte with Militaire and Praline. Maybe this will be helpful. I would have gone with Latte if I didn't already own a Militaire Work.

hmmm thanks for the pics! yeah thats kinda latte i wanted! its creamy green ..hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm the color is kinda bring and light.. hmmmmmm

Lagoon is an amazing vibrant hue. I saw it today in-store as a City with mini GSH. It was To. Die. For. Period. Great leather that was distressed to within an inch of its life, and the colour wasn't sitting on the top of the leather, like the few Gris Tarmac and Mangue that I'd seen: it looked like the old colours that look truly vegetable dyed.

Lagoon is nothing like the colour on the swatch. It is a bright, clear, deep turquoise/bright teal... the kind of colour you expect to see in velvet or suede textures, or on silk saris - it is THAT intense... or when you look through a glass that has tealy/turquoise food coloring in it, and the light is shining through the glass at the same time. Looking at Lagoon as like looking at a piece of stained glass with the light coming through it

Lagoon won't go with a single thing in my wardrobe, but I think that is the beauty of it - it is SUCH an "out there" colour. Really, really, beautiful shade of peacock blue-green, which makes me think of holidays on pure, untouched islands.

I certainly didn't expect to fall in love with it as I did.

Thanks for the great description! I'm looking forward to lagon. I'd be interested to know where you saw it and where it is available already.

Awesome description! I am waiting on peektures of Lagon from my SA! Would you say it is more green or blue? I am hoping it is more green... So far the ones I have seen online look to be more teal-blue than teal-green.

Ahh! So that's how I spell lagon:smile1:

Whether it looks more blue than green is hard for me to say, dragonette, because I know everyone sees slightly different undertones depending on what their red-yellow receptors are doing in their eyes that day. In my eyes, it looks more green than blue.

The one that I saw was definitely more green (had more yellow undertones in it, which is why it looks so amazing with burnt sienna) than blue.

I tried taking photos in-store, but the colour and texture simply did not come out as nicely as as it looked in real life. I was so tempted to ask the store if I could use their camera!!

citychris, I saw Lagon at Cultstatus in Perth, Western Australia. There is a alot of natural light in that store, so what I saw is probably as close to the "real" shade as I'll get... short of taking it home.

Although I'd said it doesn't go with anything, I think that's the beauty of Lagon. I do see it with weird combos, like denim jeans and a peach or tangerine T, definitely with loud prints in primary and neutral (camo) colours, and with camel and tan, and paired with the standard black and white, and fresh with grey and white, tonal with cobalt, and clashing with marigold yellow and tangerine.

It is a very strong colour, and if all the Lagons come in the same super-soft, distressed leather that I saw it in, I think its appeal will lie in the fact that it already posesses such a great lived-in, much-loved appearance even before it is broken in.

Wow! Im sold based on your description!

Hopefully Lagon lives up to my rantings and ravings when you see it in real life, sai.

I'd originally been thinking it was a contender for me this season when I saw the swatch of it looking so deep (like a more intense Canard).

However, when I saw how bright it is in real life, and so different from anything else I've recently seen in Bal, and the distressed leather, I think I may have blacked out for a few seconds, because one minute the staff was saying something to me... and the next minute (probably when I recovered from my Bal-induced swoon) she was on an entirely different topic.

That is what I thought but wanted to check...I asked my SA if Bleute has any purple undertones cuz I LOVE BLUE blues. She said yes, there is a slight purplish undertone...just FYI

Hi hrhsunshine! Yes, when I saw a Bleute City yesterday, I thought it looked less like the 2008 Electric Blue than it does closer to the Outremer Family. I think it's the purplish undertones as your SA mentioned.

I second this. I saw Lagon 2 days ago in Neiman's and it is truly stunning! The color and the leather is so good!
HOWEVER... I saw Gris Tarmac and I am in love. The grey is perfect. I want it in a City. I am more of a neutral girl, so this color is definitely me.

Hi SkyBlueDay! Any chance that you also see the Mangue mini pom? On the email they sent out, it looks amazing so I am tempted although I am a bit undecided still as I won't be seeing it first before buying...

Hi gagabag! I didn't look at the Mangue Mini Pom this time. The Mangue I'd seen was carried by a girl who'd bought hers from overseas. I think, as with all Bal releases, the leather can be very hit-and-miss, because I'd seen Mangue bags that didn't have my leather preferences, but others have said they adore their Mangue bags' leather

Best thing is to ask whether the bag of your choice has leather that is saturated, or whether the colour just sits on the leather's surface, making the leather appear as if it has been painted.

The two Gris Tarmac bags I saw were a beautiful colour... but the colour seemed to sit on the leather's surface, rather than be absorbed into it. On the other hand, someone on TPF said that her Gris Tarmac leather is absolutely stunning, and her photos certainly prove it to be so!

There are Mangue Mini Poms in the Singapore Bal store and the leather is as I described - it sits on the leather like paint. All the Mangue bags in the store were the same, including a Twiggy.
