My guess is the paper tag is wrong, too, but Bal has been mixing it up lately. I can tell you that the 2012 F/W bags for the GH12 and regular hardware bags now have a letter on the back of the tag to correspond with the year - same as the metal tags do.
yes - I've got a letter on the back of my 2012 F/W RH Black Day inner tag which I think is a great idea!
The Day now also has a couple of extra open pockets inside (same as the pockets in the Town) which is useful.

Thank you for the pic. I just love this color!

Has anyone heard if the velo will be available in bleute, particularly in classic hardware? I was told by Steve at the SCP boutique that the velo was not produced in bleute in any of the hardwares. Can anyone confirm if this is true? Thanks!

wow, i am looking at the cumin city at ****** as well. So are they authentic bags?

And compare to city, what's the difference between city and ,maxi twiggy?

Yes, all merchandise from ****** are authentic. The city is rectangular in shape, while the maxi twiggy is more of a log shape. However, when the MT is not full, it almost looks like the city but with a longer handle drop. The MT also has a longer shoulder strap (about 2x as long as the city's).

I saw a Velo Bleute RH in Galerie Lafayette so it was produced.

****** has one right now ;)

Thanks!!! I'm wondering if Steve meant that the velo wasn't produced in bleute for his particular store. IDK. Anyway, I think I'm gonna take the plunge and purchase it through ******. I'm just nervous about not being able to pick out my actual bag in person. Hopefully Erica puts up another code soon!

To me the maxi twiggy seems like a mini duffle bag. City looks more boxy when completely filled but because the leather is soft and slouchy, most of the time it appears smaller/sleeker. To me that's a beautiful iconic shape!!

Hi!

Thanks to a nice seller, I was able to check out a Maxi Twiggy. I really like it compared to the Velo (my one and only Bbag). She has a Canard and Olive but I really like the Canard which she is not selling. The olive green is nice too but I think it be will be hard to match.

Anyway, I am trying to decide now whether to buy a pre-owned 2010 MT Canard or get a 2012 MT Gris Tarmac which I have not seen yet? There's very little difference in price between the two.

Or should I just buy her Olive MT? What do you think?

Thanks! :smile1:

Stick to your first choice and try to find it. Otherwise there will always be regrets, IMO:smile1:

Got to see some of the colors in person this past weekend! Here's my take on them...

Gris Tarmac- A straight up charcoal gray, no undertones at all. Very nice (and I am not a gray person).

Jacynthe- A muted periwinkle. Kinda like faded denim with strong lilac undertones. It's definitely in the blue family, but I wouldn't describe it as "just blue".

Rose Thulian- A bright pop color, for sure. I thought it looked just like a piece of watermelon Jolly Rancher candy. It was actually quite interesting, not pink and not red either.

Cassis- Cranberry. Really lovely. Surprisingly, this was my favorite of the bunch.

I have to add that the variations in leather were amazing. Some were nice and some were just AWFUL!

I finally got my Latte Velo from Cannes yesterday. Personally I love it but I think it's quite a difficult color and you have to see it IRL before you order it. To me it has some green/khaki undertones and not much of a rich and creamy beige I'd expected from just the name "latte". IMO it's more like a mix between camel and papyrus. It's not a warm color ( like p.e. seigle was )
Here is Latte with Papyrus...( on my screen color is quite close to RL )

and here with two of my other velos as well ( Praline and Corde ( Suede, on the floor ), which is pretty similar to Seigle...)
