citychris, I saw Lagon at Cultstatus in Perth, Western Australia. There is a alot of natural light in that store, so what I saw is probably as close to the "real" shade as I'll get... short of taking it home.

Although I'd said it doesn't go with anything, I think that's the beauty of Lagon. I do see it with weird combos, like denim jeans and a peach or tangerine T, definitely with loud prints in primary and neutral (camo) colours, and with camel and tan, and paired with the standard black and white, and fresh with grey and white, tonal with cobalt, and clashing with marigold yellow and tangerine.

It is a very strong colour, and if all the Lagons come in the same super-soft, distressed leather that I saw it in, I think its appeal will lie in the fact that it already posesses such a great lived-in, much-loved appearance even before it is broken in.

Thanks! Australia is very far away from me, but I'll continue to wait patiently.

I'm fairly sure I want something in lagon, the only question is which style. If it's not too bright for me, I think I'd like a day bag. If I find it very intense, maybe something smaller like a hip.

Is it just me? saw the new colors on lovebbags, why do they all have this plasticky sheen one them?

Not just you. Some of the colors do have that "painted on" appearance. I think it started last season. My rose bruyere is kinda like that... but I still love her. The leather is thick and it's really holding up amazingly well... almost no signs of wear!

i see that there are a few lagon items on bal.com now (if they were there before, i didn't notice them). i can't wait to see more pictures/hear more reviews about this gorgeous color! now to decide what to get in lagon :thinkin:

Hopefully Lagon lives up to my rantings and ravings when you see it in real life, sai.

I'd originally been thinking it was a contender for me this season when I saw the swatch of it looking so deep (like a more intense Canard).

However, when I saw how bright it is in real life, and so different from anything else I've recently seen in Bal, and the distressed leather, I think I may have blacked out for a few seconds, because one minute the staff was saying something to me... and the next minute (probably when I recovered from my Bal-induced swoon) she was on an entirely different topic.

Lagoon certainly wasn't on my radar and I thought I was safe this season, but it sure is now! I'm definitely getting a RH City or Work!

Same here I originally liked the swatch but then felt so/so about it in pics I just saw it IRL today and OMG I have to get a city! I saw rh and mrggh and both looked stunning I want to see it with msgh too. I was only planing to get the rgh black city but now I have to get this one two. After that I will be on a serious ban till next year.

Lagoon is an amazing vibrant hue. I saw it today in-store as a City with mini GSH. It was To. Die. For. Period. Great leather that was distressed to within an inch of its life, and the colour wasn't sitting on the top of the leather, like the few Gris Tarmac and Mangue that I'd seen: it looked like the old colours that look truly vegetable dyed.

Lagoon is nothing like the colour on the swatch. It is a bright, clear, deep turquoise/bright teal... the kind of colour you expect to see in velvet or suede textures, or on silk saris - it is THAT intense... or when you look through a glass that has tealy/turquoise food coloring in it, and the light is shining through the glass at the same time. Looking at Lagoon as like looking at a piece of stained glass with the light coming through it.

Lagoon won't go with a single thing in my wardrobe, but I think that is the beauty of it - it is SUCH an "out there" colour. Really, really, beautiful shade of peacock blue-green, which makes me think of holidays on pure, untouched islands.

I certainly didn't expect to fall in love with it as I did.

Oh man......what are you doing to me *A*!!!!! I'm trying to be good, trying to be content with my Bal family.....and you present me with such an eloquent & seductive description of Lagon.... You know I'm a sucker for Bal's Blue/Greens.... Looks like I'm sooooo in trouble!

I thought I wanted Bleute, now I want Lagon. It is an amazing color!!!

I think it depends on preference .. I saw Bleute, and it's a GORGEOUS color!! Lagon is definitely a more Turquoise(y)/Teal undertoned Blue; whereas Bleute has more purple undertones. I would think Bleute would be more versatile, but then again .. I suppose it depends on your wardrobe.

You are so lucky being able to see all these colors. I only see them in photos. Greece receives last. We don't even have Mangue or Rose Thulian yet. Very few pieces and very few colors. Also there is a wall (due to the owner of the Boutique which is franchise) for us so we cannot shop from the online shop. Isn't that unfair? From the 16 bags I have, only four were purchased here. I have to order from the Boutique in France without seeing any colors IRL. This is why I usually post threads asking which one is better. And thank you for always helping me out CeeJay. I really do appreciate it. Hope you sometime come to Athens, Greece, I will be more than glad to meet you.:smile1: And this also goes to all you tPFers who have helped me so much.
