I know it can be confusing with different leathers called similar names, but this thread is for Barenia Faubourg only.

Hi Loves! I just got offered a BF B30 with GHW! I originally asked for black/gold/etoupe togo with GHW, but I am so excited to pick it up soon!
A question for you all: does it get significantly darker or shinier over time? I saw one side by side photo of gold togo and BF and there wasn’t much of a difference which I liked. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Mine has not gotten much darker or shinier.
For reference, here is my 2018 BF B35 (which I carry often) and my brand new K28 (never carried in this photo - carried lots since). BF is so much richer and deeper than gold IMO. It’s stunning and the smell is intoxicating!

Omg your BF collection is stunning and thanks for your response <3 I’m happy to hear that it patinas slowly. And yes the smell was DIVINE!! Cant wait for mine to arrive! It is my first quota bag and Im super excited haha

I just wanted to share my newly acquired love for Barenia Faubourg.
BF leather was never in my radar as I was in a city with a small Hermes store and they never had any B/BF leather goods in stock. But living in Paris currently, I was unable to attain the B/K I was asking for and requested for a Gold with Gold hardware mini evelyne for my casual days out walking my puppy.
The SA came back with a big smile and said she has a surprise for me and it was a BF mini evelyne bag. I was unsure at the beginning as the leather looks a little 'vintage' out of the sealed box, unlike the usual Clemence and Epsom bags I got from that SA..
Then, she explained the leather to me and said I might never see another one with that leather again, and I got it.

Fast forward a few weeks later, I used the bag for the first time and in the morning, when I was walking the dog with my husband, we both kept smelling something nice, he even asked what is the Hermes fragrance I was wearing as it was very different from the other 2 Hermes signature fragrance which he likes on me....and I told him same old, ,same old Rose Ikebana..........
Then, I realized that was not the smell!!!!!! it was my BF bag haha. If only I knew about BF leather, as I could just get a casual BF bag and skip all the bottles of Rose Ikebana I have been wearing LOL :smile:
If only my 2 Birkins and 2 Kelly also smell like that, I will add BF Birkins in my wish list.
