I know it can be confusing with different leathers called similar names, but this thread is for Barenia Faubourg only.

You can certainly wear it in the rain (maybe not TOTAL downpour, but you probably can..) Just let what ever water spots dry naturally ( no wiping, smudging, helping it to dry, etc.) It will dry on it's own with nary a stain. That's just one of the beauties of barenia.

I have been reading some horror stories from the H online thread about CS telling customers that the customers themselves had made marks or had broken items and were not willing to issue a refund. CS also claims that when an item is returned, warehouse employees ‘peek’ inside to make sure the items are in pristine condition before shipping it out to the next buyer. But that’s clearly not the case!

I guess with H online, buyer beware :sad:

I am just seeing this and don't know if you have talked to a CS already. Have you watched Kristina Braly's Youtube video when she unboxed her BF Birkin 30 in March 2020? She talks about the BF leather having a kind of mottled look from the beginning. Mine did for sure. She said if it looked like that as gold togo, that would not be right, but that the Barenia F. would look that way from the beginning. Mine is new to me and it is irregular but I know that is the leather itself. I'm not sure if this is helpful. It was March 23,2020, called Collective Luxury Haul + Hermes Unboxing - Birkin or Kelly? It is the last thing she unboxes but she goes into great detail about the leather, so when I was offered it I understood what I was seeing. Good luck!

I am in the same boat! My SA found a great Twilly for my birthday Barenia F. Birkin 30 but only one! So I am hoping to get a second. I know others say to just use the handles but I often have SPF lotion on my hands and that would NOT do well on this leather I think! ;) So I will be a two twilly gal as well! Yay! Its so amazing to have a thread of comments where so many people have a bag that looks like mine. I feel so special....:)

Maybe you can try Vestiaire Collective. I found some really nice twilly there that are from the older collection :)

it’s difficult to find information about this special leather and your thread is super helpful. Thanks for creating this little world for all of us!
