I have had a few things in Bal Ruby before, and love the color. Even though it's agneau, I actually like it better than (gasp) the beloved tomato 07.

I am excited, because I need a red bag!!

And yes, I love anthra, too, klj. ;)

I have a thing for gray bags.

PS: thithi, We must see Ms. Betty. I want to live vicariously through you since I can't buy another bag for a while...but if I could it would likely be the gorgeous gray chain Betty that I found on Spanish ick-bay. It is seriously :drool:.

Still deciding on which it-bag to purge more on, lol. Something classy, not flashy, excellent leather, etc. I looked at this gorgeous Ferragamo bag at Nordstrom yesterday, in white and grey. But I don't see white being too practical, although it was really pretty.

Balenciaga - after hearing how they tend to look old quick, I wonder if that's also practical. I like the lightweighted-ness of Bal bags though... maybe a Day instead of a City? Dunno...

How are you ladies liking your new acquisitions that you purged for?

If you are concerned about corner wear and handle darkening but love the lightness of Bbags, get a Day for sure!!!

My first Bal was a City and while I love the look, I quickly figured out that it was not for me - the most comfortable bag I have ever owned to date is the Day. (And it costs less than the City, too. What's not to like?) :yahoo:

And my new acquisitions have not arrived. One will be here on Tuesday, and the other is arriving sometime this coming week I would imagine.

I also purchased a Bal Sanguine 09 Coin Purse this past week, and I love love love it...so much so that I am already selling it and saving to get an entire bag in Sanguine, the color is beautiful!!! :love:

This is one of the reasons why I love Etsy...you can get fantastic gifts there (plus throw in something for yourself, heh heh) and you are guaranteed to get something unique - and you know that your money is almost always going to go straight to the person who crafted and designed the item.

Agreed! I love City bags, and I find they work for me...but only dark City bags because of the warming issue. The corner wear does happen quicker than with bags that don't have large piping, such as the Box and Step.

Bbags are definitely not built like a tank like MJs or JC bags, but the heaviness issue gets me...it's not good for my back. Even if bbags are a bit on the delicate side, I'd rather be carrying a bag like that that fits my comfort level than a heavy one that I won't use often but can be thrown across a room and it will be fine.

I am way more comfortable with my collection now than about a year ago. I think generally I have reduced clutter overall at my home (probably to my DH's delight).

All this bbag talk is making me all excited! Yay!

Agreed, I'm loving Balenciaga these days too!

Today at university, I saw this girl in line ahead of me carrying what appeared a gorgeous black City... but when I looked at it closer, I realized that the leather was nothing like the usual high-quality leather Bal does. I asked her where she got it, and she said "Oh I got it from street vendor in Japan!!"

:shocked:

They replicate these lovelies down to the last detail, but use a different material and sell it on the streets.

I've purged two bags and one accessory, but really haven't done nearly as much as I'd like to. I'm currently (very slowly!) saving for a Bottega Veneta, and it is definitely helping to keep me away from other bags... although I just read that the PS1 is available in Toronto... I didn't need to know that, lol!!

I've been going back and forth between feeling like I should sell or hold on to some of the bags I don't use. But I really want a Bolide...And now I am so close to getting one (preloved, but at a great price) I think I have decided to purge. For the past two days or so whilst waiting for the all clear on the Bolide I haven't even thought about any other bag, and I haven't been in doubt about selling some of my stuff in order to obtain it. So purge it is: not all of them (h*ll no!), but some that I don't use and don't really 'love'. I need that Bolide!

I'm reducing the size of my purse collection......b/c I haven't use most of them in years......and they're just sitting in my closet in dustbags.....I don't even remember what I have. It really seems ridiculous......so, I'm keeping the ones I use the most, and selling the rest.

I thought I was purged...but I purged one more..(I don't have alot anyway..) but I have sold one grey bag..loved it btw.....because eventually I want to purchase the only grey I'll have and think I'll :heart:love~love it:heart::love:...Bal Anthra City...I think I really like things narrowed down they way they've been coming along..more use..more manageable..and I enjoy them more because I'm not spreading the love so thin...:amuse:;)
