Ever purged your collection in pursuit of one bag? How did it go?

I actually am reconsidering the Sahara City now! It is beautiful and all, but it's just not "clicking" for me... I might change my mind if it comes to a black Bal city in chevre, which is sort of glossier and smoother. But for now, I think I'm just content buying, using for a few seasons for a year, selling and buying new ones, lol. There isn't ONE it-bag that I need to have....

Yes, bags need to click at that price point LOL! No room for very expensive regrets! I guess it's that bbags tend to look old quick, and the lighter ones even faster...so I own now a black city in chevre! It is a good buy and it can always sell. The problem with the 2005 one I own, the leather is so soft the sealant came loose quick...small, but incrementally it will get worse. There is a bbag on the bay with a 2005 Z tag that the whole leather ripped off the handle! OMG and she is asking $800 BIN! Holy toledo!

Where did you get the Bal city in chevre? Is it glossier and smoother than normal lambskin or whatever material they use?

If I do get it, you're right - I can always sell it off at some point.

thithi, it sounds like you're going for the $85 bag! It's low risk so I think you will feel less guilty if it's not right for you and goes on the chopping block. It's those pesky $1000+ bags that are the guilt tuggers...good luck and reveal when it's yours, please!

Simplify, it's the way to go. Pick something classic, matches anything, mid-sized for all occasions. (or perhaps hang onto one other clutch or evening bag for those occasions). I have done it and no regrets, but I am fickle, so I cycle out my purses often. Even my super high end ones when I've owned JUST that at the time, nothing wrong with changing out your style every so often. Don't get stuck. Have fun!

Haha, yeah, I’m super behind – I have some long overdue revealing – work’s been insane and I couldn’t find my camera charger or cable for a while…I’ll post pics tomorrow!! I LOVE the BV.

I sold another bag too! It had been listed for FOREVER, and finally someone bought it. Also listed 1 of the 3 bags that I thought I should sell but was having a hard time with. Another 1 of the 3 I’ve been carrying almost nonstop recently, so that’s probably a sign that it should stay for now. I still have 2 bags that I definitely need to list and then about 4 more that I need to think about. And I have a new purchase goal in mind, so hopefully that will help motivate me!

If I’m counting correctly, I am now down to 9 bags and 4 smaller bags/clutches (not including what is/will be listed). I am trying for a few less.

I have never sold or bought a bag on line before and was wondering... I have very old insignificant bags. Should I just give them away? Ya know, smaller in size, no designer name, etc.

^ if you're ready to move on, then yes, i would suggest giving them away either to a local charity or a friend who would like it.
