You're right about not seeing a lot of bal in CA. I've seen a couple cities and a day here and there, but mostly it's LVs, Gucci, or Chanel that I notice, with a few RMs and MJs sprinkled in.

I agree - down south from you it's complete LV land, with some Gucci and Chanel flaps here and there. I have seen RM MABs twice (once in Coronado, once in downtown San Diego), and some MJs at the mall. Only that one time at the Chanel Boutique in South Coast did I see that Bal City.

The SA at NM San Diego tells me that Bal just isn't really that popular here in the West Coast. I am suspecting that the fashionistas here are more into logo than anything else.

^ Sadly, I think you're right... I hate obvious logos that scream hey, look at me, i've got a _____! I prefer more understated brands that have excellent workmanship and high quality materials. Say No! to coated canvas.

A couple new additions is not a bad thing, as long as there is an overall purging process. I'm amazed about how much more closet space i have for my bags these days, but I know that I still have a long way to go. Listing them all is tiring indeed... I put some on the bonz cuz it seems quicker to list than ebay, but i might have to move some to ebay to get some sales going.... *sigh* what happen to the days when everything use to sell so quickly??

i do this often - but must say one thing - once you go high end - hard to go back - but I would rather buy 2 high end a year - than 4 mid priced. the roady is awesome - I am on the waitlist for the stingray. by the by - I have owned YSL - and presently have 2 in my collection - LOVE LOVE LOVE

I'm in the same boat. I'm going to have to send them over to ebay eventually. I've only sold 2 of the 5 i've listed on there. and the one that should sell is just getting low ball offers. this just a perfect reason to think before I buy!

I have only seen one bal here as well, I have seen a couple of fakes but no were near the amount of fake logos.

Interesting conversation, ladies - I know that I will definitely love carrying Bal again on the East Coast - I will be getting my Anthra Day soon, and just bought a Sanguine CP!! (I had to to have something in Sanguine, which is funny, since I didn't like it when it first came out. Go figure).

Next up: Velo, Ticket, or Maxi Twiggy. Something RED!!!!

My courier is sanguine, love it!!! It's a very neutral red.

Hi! I too am a little selling weary at the moment, and unfortunately I made some adds...but at least the adds are bags I know I will like and keep for the long haul...all of them Bals. I took care of my light messenger style need and my City bag need.

BC, on the Sahara City, make sure before you take the Bal plunge that you are okay with your handles warming/getting darker with use. I think you said you want this bag to go a long way, and bbags, especially the lighter ones, tend to look worn in very quickly. It is why as part of the purging process I describe here I sold my Jaune Twiggy because I was not using it often in fear that it would look worn very quickly. I know now that I love Bal, but I will only buy darker colors so I won't worry about the worn in look. Perhaps you are less finicky than me and will love a worn in bbag!

I am with everyone that GGH seems to look like peanut butter cups! I can't get myself to buy anything giant hardware...it is either regular or covered for me.

I think I may have a meeting with my bags before I go to sleep tonight and really commit to some more going out or going to go live with my mom.

I am the same way! It's all RH or covered for me. :p

LOL Lo, yeah that's a LOT of red leather. But Sanguine is such a subtle red that it works very well for the Courier. I don't think Sanguine would satisfy my red cravings if it was my only red bag, I need true red in my life, but it's not my only red, so it works well for me for those more subtle red days.

I think you will like carrying Bal in California. I have only seen a bbag once and that was at South Coast...I like that it's not easily recognizable!

I've seen a couple - one that stand out was this yummy large Bal Day bag carried by a lady in Santa Monica in this pretty light caramel-tan color. I asked if I could touch it and it was luscious, buttery soft
