Well, so much for taking my time deciding – my computer had another major set back on Friday so I’m going to go ahead and replace it sooner than I planned. That was the final kick in the pants I needed to list a bunch of stuff for sale - I’m listing about 10 additional bags/SLGs in addition to the 2 I already have listed. There’s already been a lot of interest, so that’s encouraging. I be able to fund a MacBook Pro, with some left over for savings – much better than dipping into savings to fund the laptop. So far no panic attacks or anything, haha, so it’s easier than I thought it would be to say goodbye to some of these.

Assuming everything sells, I’ll be down to:
5 RM satchels (will probably reduce this further, but 5 is much better than my current number of 8)
1 BV large veneta
1 Bal velo
2 RM MACs (one casual, one dressy)
1 RM Lovers Clutch
1 Coach wristlet
And a few less SLGs than I have now

Dseer, sometimes an impending event is just the kick in the pants we need to make progress, so I'm happy that you're on the road to selling more--you'll feel so much lighter when it's all over. It's great to use this process to fund other things like your Macbook. I've saved enough from my recent purge to pay for a trip I'm taking this summer.

Congratulations!:p Doesn't it feel good when you clean things out and you know your bags will be used and appreciated by other people? That's great news. So, which bag is THE ONE?

So . . . drumroll please, it was the Chanel nature flap - and even though, I feel I might sell it in the future, it was a great motivating factor in cleaning out my closet. Keep in mind, I had to sell cause I probably have bought a bag every 2 months for the past year!

This thread is thought provoking for me and making me realize I need to weed out even more! There's a lot of truth that having too much is stressful.

I just sold 7 bags to pay for one! I got more than what I needed but feel great because they all went to lovely homes and are being appreciated.

:yahoo:!!! Congrats!!!

You made the right choice (at least in my book).

I have to say that I am not feeling the "pain" of having just three bags - I will be needing a sturdy cross-body for an upcoming trip, though.

You are all wonderful - this thread and the new ban support group thread keep me afloat.

Fantastic plan!!!! You GO!!!! :happydance:

Please keep us posted - and don't get discouraged, you will sell all of your items...you have some wonderful pieces!

PS: The MacBook Pro is where it's at. I have one from work, too, and would not trade it for anything. :D

Ladies, rainrowan needs a little cheering up.... :woohoo:

I started to list my bags and all of a sudden I got so stressed out with the whole process of selling. It happens every time it must be psychological -- I need to purge, at the same time I want to finish already. I only managed to list one bag but maybe I will be less stressed tomorrow....

Want to earn enough to partially fund the upcoming LV Delightful MM...

Thanks jxwilliams :) you're right -- I really need to remember to go about it nice and easy. I worked myself into a migraine LOL

BTW, your avatar pic is adorable -- are those actually chrysanthemum puppies??

Rain, I know sometimes selling can seem overwhelming if you have a lot of bags but just keep your eye on the prize! It always motivates me to get things done!

And yes they are--little maltese puppies! I am a bit maltese crazy as I have a maltese/yorkie mix and just love him to death!

rain, you can do it! And jx's advice is perfect - just take baby steps - and if you start to falter, checking in here is a good idea. :smile1:

Once you get rid of the first one, it gets A LOT easier.

PS: jx, I  Malteses and Yorkies, too! I have a little Bichon (the crazy dude in my avatar) - they are related to Malteses, in fact. :tender:

Rain, when I have a ton of stuff to list now (which I do now) I tell myself I'll spend 30 minutes on it per day. Whatever doesn't get done in that 30 minutes can wait until tomorrow. It helps keep me from feeling overwhelmed.
