TBH, I don't know the difference between "straight leg" and "skinny" and I suspect many sellers don't know either.

Hopefully you can get some use out of them.
she did provide accurate measurements when I asked so in spite of the jeans being skinny and not straight, they are as described I guess. I accepted them and gave positive FB

That’s nice, you did the right thing IMO. I think she likely did not know the difference (I would think they were the same), but it is a good reminder to check my terminology before I sell anything next time.

the jeans I was trying to get a backup for are Cigarette jeans - basically skinny in the thighs, straight from knee to ankle. someone on Posh had the style but her measurements looked small in the waist and her price was higher. so I took a chance on these and may regret it. but I've had many jeans regrets, mostly on ones I bought at BNM stores and tried on.

one good thing is the color - they are a darker wash but not that almost-black color. and the whiskers are barely noticeable

At least there are some good points on them. Maybe wear them on a day you want to look presentable but don’t want to get your favorite pair dirty (going to a park etc).

it's all gonna be about the fit....I can't play with them today as I washed them and they're damp. but if they fit right and are comfortable they are very presentable
For a lot of brands “cigarette” leg is still quite skinny. I think it’s an odd term. Cigarettes aren’t tapered but the jeans usually are. Go figure! Hope the fit works out.

After a really bad week (too bad to even joke about here) today I got a buyer asking for a return on a bag for a smell of cigarettes and woodsmoke. The bag was in mediocre condition, but each flaw was mentioned and the photo where it was shown was indicated. We don't smoke and never use our fireplace. I think the buyer found the bag to be more than she wanted to deal with and made up the smell in the hope of forcing a return. Has anyone had any experience with this as a seller? I would bet my entire collection that the bag had no smell. While I recognize that some people could be very sensitive to a not-widely-perceived smell, as non-smokers I think my husband would have smelled what she's speaking about if it exists and is as bad as she is claiming. I offered her a return for purchase price or the option to sell the bag herself and use my photos and description. She came screaming back at me (in ebay email) and called me a liar. Just what I needed today. Any advice?

Also, the bag was clearly sold 'as is'.

Sounds like a buyer would cause lots of trouble, I would let her return then block
