Don't pay outside of ebay. It sounds like she is trying to get you to pay her paypal account directly. That is not a good idea at all! If you've already received the refund, tell the seller to create a new listing with the correct paypal account for you to pay.

She has no available balance in her paypal account to buy the postage but that isn't your problem. What she can do is buy the postage with her old paypal account, funding it with a credit card or paypal balance. Or she can go to the post office to buy it. She didn't need to refund your payment in order to do that.

This is not your problem. It is hers. She didn't need to open up a new paypal account in order to link it to a new bank account. She can have several bank accounts linked to one paypal account, and she can update these at any time. I have two bank accounts and two credit cards linked to mine. Either she is trying some hanky panky or she doesn't understand how paypal works.

Thank you so much whateve!

It's the? (just copied&pasted)

i usually pay for postage via paypal, and usually do so using money I've received from whatever items ive sold.

This Member only Joined eBay on the 18th April 2016? So it has me wondering "How many accounts or eBay users ID's does She have?" If Sold items before, just quoting Her message to me? There is no way it could be on THIS account she created as she has 0 Feedback? And I did check to see if She had anything else listed, Nothing?

And there is absolutely no way in hell I am paying outside of eBay, I don't care what the amount of money is. And I still haven't received the refunded money either. :nogood:

PayPal has me in Credit, but when I try to withdraw it comes up "No Money to withdraw?" Do I have to call PayPal to find out where the hell my money is? Oh Gesh! What a mess!

ETA: Just found the transaction in PP where it states "Credit to Credit card transaction". So, Yep! I will have to wait up to 5 working days to see it in my CC balance.

I have more than one ebay account. It isn't against ebay rules. I used to have just one, then I decided to create a new account to keep my buying and selling separate. I created another paypal account at the time. I did it mainly so I could fund my purchases with a credit card rather than having to use my paypal balance. So I do all my buying out of my newer paypal account that is linked to a credit card, and my selling through my other paypal account that is linked to my bank account. I now sell through both ebay accounts because ebay is always offering incentives to my "buying" account. When I first started selling on my buying account, they put holds on my funds every time I made a sale, even though I was using my established paypal account.

So it is possible she has sold before on another ebay account. But why she would create a brand new account for selling without building up some feedback first makes no sense, unless her old selling account has a bad reputation.

Once you get your refund, if she relists and you decide to buy, as long as you go through ebay, you'll be covered by purchase protection.

How do you deal with buyers that are extra friendly and confiding? It makes me feel uncomfortable when they tell me things they should only be telling to their closest friends.

I just keep it businesslike and either ignore or gloss over whatever tmi they told me. If it's something about the item then I address it.

"I had this bag and I left it at a hotel, have been looking for a replacement ever since" is one thing, but "I just went to the gyno today and I have an std because my boyfriend cheated on me" is another. I have had both types.

Pretty sure I purchased my first fake off of ebay...I have ordered many things from ebay over the last two years, and dealt with cordial sellers on a consistent basis, so I consider myself lucky thus far.
However, just the other day, I ordered a charm with a 'too good to be true' price, and when I received it, I just had an off feeling about it. It didn't look right! Luckily, the seller had a 14 day return policy, buyer pays return shipping, so I reached out, requesting a return, and the seller emails me later that day saying there is no need to send the item back...I can either be sent a new one, or get a refund.

So I'm definitely thinking it was a fake! Otherwise, wouldn't you want your item back?! Anyway, I obviously requested a refund because I have no use for more fakes...patiently waiting and hoping this works out and I receive a refund in a timely manner.

Ebay sure can be great, but it can also be tricky to navigate!

Hello All,

I need your advise/assistance with the following scenario:

On Friday, April 29, 2016, I received an email back from the seller of a navy Madison Deauville bag that I purchased on April 24, 2016. I received the bag on April 27, 2016 and immediately discovered the damage to the trim. On April 27, 2016, I emailed the seller (late in the evening) at an email address that was provided on a document included with the bag.

I emailed the seller again late in the evening on April 28, 2016 and included the text and pictures from my previous email. This time I sent the email via eBay to ensure it was received. I selected the "I have a question about using my item or I want to sent the seller a message" option.

In the second email I explained that I had previously sent an email and hadn't received a response. I informed the seller that I had received the bag and found damage that was not mentioned in the listing or shown in the pictures that were posted. I also provided the seller with the same three pictures I posted at the Coach Rehab forum when I inquired about repairing this specific area of the trim. In this email I asked the seller for a full refund and a prepaid shipping label to return the bag.

In the seller's original response he advised that my first email was not received. The response consisted of a long explanation and several of the same pictures that were originally post in the listing. The seller basically failed to acknowledge the specific damage shown in the pictures I provided and the details I provided in both emails.

The seller provided the following offer: "You may return the item at your expense. We will refund the amount you paid less the S&H charges we paid to others on your behalf, and the eBay Fees that were charged the moment your bid won the auction."

I replied that the offer was unacceptable and that I would contact eBay for assistance with the matter. The seller replied with the following in a second email:

"Sorry to hear that. I thought we offered a fair solution.

If you contact eBay to request a return with "Just Didn't Like It" we will immediately accept the return.

If you choose "not as described" we will challenge and likely win the decision based on the pictures and statement in your earlier message when compared with our listing description and pictures. You confirmed the item is as we described."

I'm quite confused. It appears that the seller is implying that since I didn't use the "not as described" option when I sent my emails, eBay will likely decide in their favor. I have not responded to the seller's last email. My head was spinning after reading both emails from the seller.

At this point it appears that I should go back and contact the seller via my ebay and select the "I received an item that wasn't as described" option to report the item and document the correct reason for the return in order to use the eBay Money Back Guarantee. Are my emails enough to be considered a "request?" Or should I proceed with asking eBay to step after three business days (not sure when to start counting the days), by contacting the Resolution Center?

Any assistance/recommendations/instructions are greatly appreciated. Looks like I'm going insane over Coach! Please pardon any errors, typos, etc.

Here's the link to the listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/131742526173?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

I've also attached the photos I took of the bag, should specifically show the area of my concern.

Thanks to all!

I had one woman buy my item because hers was stolen. She was convinced that mine was the same one. She kept asking all these questions about where I got it. It got a little uncomfortable!

I had another buy my item because it was the same as the one her dead husband had gotten her.

I had one woman send me a personal letter through snail mail.

Yikes!! That is SNAD and you should open a "not as described" dispute.

You did the right thing (as they requested on that note included with the bag) by trying to resolve the complaint before opening a dispute. But since the seller's response is so unreasonable, just go ahead and open SNAD.

Include pictures showing the side by side comparisons. It should be a slam dunk victory for you.

(Feel free to use these images. The listing shows two corner pictures and since I didn't know which edge your picture showed, I have shown side-by-side pics of both.) POint out that the pictures on the left were shown in the listing and don't know the damage.

Ok...I just had a very STRANGE experience! I contacted a seller about a Coach handbag they had listed - just asking about shipping, perfume or smoke in the house etc. She answered everything yesterday except not directly on me asking about shipping UPS instead of USPS. This morning she sent a message and said sorry no UPS. Fine. I would have paid extra. Then within an hour (and I did not respond to her "no to UPS" message at all - I get this from her

"sorry I do have a perfume about MY HOUSE- the perfume of GODs righteousness that as a child of the most high has bestowed on me.

Don't contact me again"

She addressed it to two names neither of which were mine and I never told her mine. She ended all auctions that were listed yesterday, relisted and changed here seller ID name. I was thinking....hmmm...maybe someone hacked her account or she went off the deep end. I wanted to make an offer so to test waters I sent one more message telling her I wanted to make an offer and asking if I paid today if she could ship tomorrow. Reply was simply "Hell No"

Very, very weird. I was polite the entire time so not sure what happened!
I wish the correspondence went better. Her response was funny. I think it was a misunderstanding and cultural difference. I have met people that spoke in that manner. They were very funny, and they were nice straight up people.

Hi Beenburned,

Thank you for the assistance! Should I initiate the return via the eBay Resolution Center or request the return from My eBay? The seller doesn't accept returns so the eBay Money Back Guarantee applies. I'm not sure which way to go. Exactly what does the "S" represent in a SNAD?

Thanks again!

A case like this is (IMO) better done through ebay. Ebay is less apt to demand a professional documentation that the item is SNAD and with the pictures showing the problems, it should be an easy win.

In SNAD cases, when the buyer wins, the seller will pay for the return shipping label also.
