eBay Chat Thead... woohoo!!!

Is anyone else unable to list items or revise items? I have a vague memory of this happening to me in the past and I can't remember what the reason was. I just get a message to try again later.

I'm not sure is this correct place to post, if not please let me know.
Someone using my pic and selling my bag on Ebay (without my consent).
I posted my Celine Box for sale in a local selling app (Hong Kong). A member of the App messaged me and said she (assume that's a she) likes my bag very much, asked for extra pic of the bags and bargained the price to HK$8300 = US$1070. There were couple other people also inquiring my Box so i haven't confirm trade with her. Meanwhile, a seller who is also selling using the same app messaged me, telling me that someone is using my pic, posted on ebay and selling my bag for US$2700. (Her bag is also selling by that member on Ebay without her consent.) Because the ebay seller doesn't ship to Hong Kong, the listing doesn't show up when i search. If not the other seller contacted me, i would have no idea someone is selling my bag without my consent.

Decided not selling my bag to her; however, the listing is still there. Not sure is this a violation of Ebay rule when seller is selling something which they don't have in possession. Have reported to Ebay but guess they are not going to do anything, cuz the listing is still there.

Its funny but weird seeing someone is selling my bag in US but the bag is in fact in my hand (Hong Kong).
Where is people's honesty? It would be totally ok if she tells me she is a reseller and I would give her consent and commission. Pretend liking my bag very much, made me feel my bag will be loved and bargained to the lowest price... feel like i'm being used. :annoyed:

If anyone is interested buying from this Ebay seller, please be careful that the items he/she selling may not in his/her possession. The authenticity and condition maybe a concern.

Thank you for letting me rant.
Good luck buying and selling :flowers:

If you want to find the listing, you can search on ebay.com rather than the HK site.
Her listing: Auth Celine Classic Medium Box Bag Brown Smooth Calfskin GOOD
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Auth-Celine...412147?hash=item281efa4d73:g:YcQAAOSwawpXvtZm

Thank you for the warning about ebay seller fashionablez. I'm not sure whether you suspect that it's the same seller who contacted you through the app (then stole the pictures) or if it's a different person, but it doesn't really matter. fashionablez does NOT have the right to steal and use your pictures without permission.

Since you aren't selling on ebay, you can't report through the listing but you can file a DMCA take down request. You would compose a template filling in the blanks with the pertinent information and submit to [email protected].

Note - This is humorous and any authenticators here on TPF should also take note!! The seller claims to be a member here at TPF and has the following statement in her listings -- The "long time member" joined TPF in August 2015 and has 2 posts.
* Products on my page are guaranteed 100% authentic and I welcome all methods of authentication. Being a long time member of the Purse Forum, I appreciate the craftsmanship of genuine products and have never bought a fake. Products on my pages are all purchased from their own brand stores * -

And here's an authentication where one of her "Celine" bags was deemed fake:
http://forum.purseblog.com/threads/authenticate-this-celine.884802/page-444#post-29552748
and the listing shows the seller's location as Hong Kong, not NY as the current listings show:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Celine-Textured-Leather-Mini-Belt-Bag-in-Light-Taupe-PRISTINE-/172021442234?ul_noapp=true&nma=true&si=HYccTfWv5OQJb%2BZqMZgbBqlf9VE%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

And a month earlier, Unoma had deemed the same bag as fake:
http://forum.purseblog.com/threads/authenticate-this-celine.884802/page-429#post-29456102

ETA: Here's another post where picture theft is mentioned. Someone on Poshmark had a listing and some of the same images were found on fashionablez's ebay listing, one that had been deemed a fake:

Just want to add that although you say the seller isn't shipping to Hong Kong or listing on http://www.ebay.com.hk/, she is located in Hong Kong.

Some of her listings show seller location as NY and others show as Hong Kong. Clearly, this is a violation of ebay's "item location" policy.

I think you should leave the negative. They sold you a fake and they're selling other fakes. Other potential buyers should know they might end up with a fake.

+10000
We buyers rely heavily on feedback- It's one of the only tools we have to stop people from selling counterfeit items. And believe me I think they know- and if they don't (highly doubt) then they should authenticate before selling.

This seller is a HOT MESS!

She claims to be a TPF member (longtime member at that) yet she does NOT include the basic photos for authenticating her Balenciaga bags.
She lists a bag as "MINT" and below it reads: " but with some slight signs of wear to the bottom Inside is clean with minimal signs of wear and no stains "
Uhmm That's NOT mint.

I wouldn't buy a grocery bag from this seller. It's highly possible she is stealing photos of genuine bags & sending out fakes too- Who knows..
MONSTER: Keep on it! Report that theft.. I can't imagine how many others she's done this to.

I know this has probably been asked a million times but is there any way to snoop into a member who's made their FB private? Got one who won my auction this afternoon and hasn't paid yet. She/he has 48 hours before Unpaid Item Assistant kicks in. Gosh, how I love that feature...

Hummm I don't know...
There is http://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs?User=&Dirn=Left+by&ref=home but IDK if they show FB that's private..
Another good tool is http://www.watchcount.com/bh.php but again not sure how either work out with private FB.
Good Luck! CHEERS

ETA: after looking at your post count, you probably already had both of those bookmarked. lol

No, toolhaus and watchcount don't show with private feedback.

What I've done with limited success is google the "buyer ID negative" or "buyer ID feedback." Sometimes you can find sellers from who've they've purchased and by matching feedback count numbers, you can find some of the feedbacks they're left.

ETA: You can also add "ebay" to the search to narrow down the hits to ebay feedback.

I knew you'd have a solution!

Thanks BeenBurned for your detailed information.
How dare she uses TPF's reputation on her dishonest business!
I will be contacting Ebay again, hope they will at least take down the listing! And hope no one purchased fake bags from her!
