Thank you very much! I will open a INR claim. Ebay is great but it can also be a very dark place.

I once bought an eBay item and was given the tracking number through USPS. It showed delivered but was not. I waited 3 days, checking mail daily and no package. I went through all the hassle of filing claim and on 4th day it was in my box??!! It would be really helpful if she could provide you with the tracking number since she has now found it.

Do you think some people just bid on auctions for a bit of a thrill with no intent to buy? I listed a Louis Vuitton item. I had people bidding early in the auction. Like with a few days left. I just figured that they didn't really know how to bid. But I had one bid (the highest bid) 24 hours out. I had over 30 watching so expected a big war over my item in the last few minutes. Nothing. The high bidder from the day before won. But no payment. No communication from her. It made me wonder, Did she really expect to win? With 30 watchers I didn't expect her to win. Do you think some people bid just for a little thrill? Like gambling or to be a part of something like bidding on designer goods. I just don't have a good feeling about payment on this one.

I am sorry to heat you went to all that trouble but I'm glad you got the item at the end. No, my seller said she lost the tracking, so I don't know how she says she asked USPS and they told her it was delivered at mailbox.

I tried to open the case today but ebay gave me 4 days to talk to the seller before they step in. Of course, the seller hasn't answer at all.

And yes, I think some people just bid because they want to feel the "adrenaline" of bidding but have no intent of buying. The same happened to me, I listed a LV item and had several watchers and bids. The buyer who won didn't pay, no communication, nothing.

Hope it works out for you. Hoping she looked harder and found the receipt with tracking number. Any good seller saves those things for at least a couple weeks so that's a red flag. . Hope you get it. And rediculous about the LV bidders/winners. I wonder if that happens often? I am not listing again. I regretted listing it as soon as the first bid was made.

Last week I made an offer that I thought was very fair. It was declined, no counter offer, no message. Today the seller has lowered the price to what I offered, and is still accepting offers! Funny, I don't feel like making an offer anymore.

I received questions from 3 potential buyers in the last few days. I responded to all of them promptly and not one of them answered. It makes me feel like they aren't receiving my responses. Either that, or no one is polite anymore.

I feel like most sellers have NO CLUE how the best offer option works. How long ago did you submit the offer? They probably thought they would get better offers the first time around, they didn't, so they are relisting. I've had this happen numerous times, I never re-bid.

I don't respond most of the time because I feel like sellers get overloaded with emails. In regards to email etiquette, some people appreciate the "thanks" message, others prefer not to have the clutter in their inbox.

I sent them all a follow-up message at the risk of them thinking I was being annoying. One of them responded with a thank you. One of them asked the same question 4 days later, making me think she didn't see either of the messages. This time I responded and posted the answer on the listing. She is a new ebayer. I'm still not sure she saw my answer. The third didn't respond at all.

For the BO item, I made the offer after it had been listed 2 or 3 days. It was declined after 12 hours. It's now been listed for over 2 weeks. The seller has a low feedback so probably doesn't know how ebay works. If I were to make another offer, it would be for a lot less, which I could see the seller denying on principle. She may not realize the BO option is there and wants the list price.

Has anybody ever bought anything from Pursehive? She has over 1000 recommendations but her store is so small, only 30 items currently.

I bought a bag from her on Sunday. Normally I don't buy bags from sellers I haven't followed for a while or watched. I actually bid on this item thinking I wouldn't get it. Note to self- don't bid on something assuming you won't get it! LOL. Actually I am thrilled to have the bag.

I don't pay too much attention to the seller or whether or not I know anything about her. As long as I don't see deserved negative feedback or have heard bad things about the seller, I am not afraid to do business with anyone.

I don't know the seller or her reputation though I see 100% feedback (with the exception of a neutral for condition). And from a quick skimming of her items, I don't see any fakes, unlike someone who admitted to selling a fake and justified it by saying that MBMJ isn't "high end designer."

Some sellers only have 1 or 2 or less than a dozen listings. What does the number of listings have to do with whether a seller is honest. Other sellers have 200+ listings but may mix fakes in with authentic items.

Personally, I prefer 100% honest sellers who really care about their reputations and their buyers.

Great feedback, no history of counterfeits, doesn't use stock photos. I don't see any red flags. Size of store has zero bearing on the integrity of the seller.

So I received this message via eBay messages. I was wondering if anyone could help me? Something fishy going on? Seller cannot afford to pay Express post? Which is only $6.00? Six Dollars? Seriously? I also have never heard of paying someone through PayPal with just their Mobile Number? I Always pay through eBay which directs me to pay via PayPal? I just don't know what to make of this? Not only refunded me, which has yet to hit my CC? Will take up to 5 working days. Wants me to pay Again? I am so confused? How many Seller ID's does this Member have? :confused1:

Hi xxxx,

I've unfortunately encountered a small hiccup with the transaction...
I recently opened a new bank account, and as a result opened up a new paypal account to link it to (this being the Paypal account you paid into). In logging into Paypal, I've noticed I cant actually access the money and wont be able to for 21 days. This is because I've got to establish myself as a seller etc which is fair enough. Anyway, i usually pay for postage via paypal, and usually do so using money I've received from whatever items ive sold. I cant actually cover the cost of the postage myself so I need to receive payment before i can post. The easiest way around this was to link the new card and account to my old paypal account, and then issue you a refund. If you wouldn't mind, could you use the refund to pay into my old payal account? I can then access the funds and post to you instantly.
I'm so sorry about this, if i had of known i never would have opened a new paypal account! I've issued you the refund of $140.00, and I'll post as soon as the notification comes through. It's also express overnight postage. If you have any questions or want to make contact with me, my mobile is 04xxxxxx. You can also enter this mobile number into paypal for where to pay.

Thank you kindly!

Yes! New Member. So how many Seller ID's? Also with the so called "Old PayPal account," won't the Seller have the same problem?

Also, it won't let me pay again as it comes up already paid? So the Seller would have to Cancel this listing then would have to relist with updated PayPal account? Gesh! What a mess!!!! :pullhair:

Don't pay outside of ebay. It sounds like she is trying to get you to pay her paypal account directly. That is not a good idea at all! If you've already received the refund, tell the seller to create a new listing with the correct paypal account for you to pay.

She has no available balance in her paypal account to buy the postage but that isn't your problem. What she can do is buy the postage with her old paypal account, funding it with a credit card or paypal balance. Or she can go to the post office to buy it. She didn't need to refund your payment in order to do that.

This is not your problem. It is hers. She didn't need to open up a new paypal account in order to link it to a new bank account. She can have several bank accounts linked to one paypal account, and she can update these at any time. I have two bank accounts and two credit cards linked to mine. Either she is trying some hanky panky or she doesn't understand how paypal works.
