EBay is killing me gals. I hope someone had some advice. I have sold almost 80 handbags online. All with no issues. I just sold a brand new Kate Spade and the buyer just told me the strap is not in the bag I KNOW it was! She has requested a return but I don't want a handbag that doesn't have a strap on it. She probably threw it away with all of the paper. Does anyone have any experience on how eBay will handle this because I can't afford to have a return that I can resell because it doesn't have a strap!!!

Update- she has found the strap and loves the bag!
I'm glad she found the strap but I'm aware of enough cases where straps are discarded with the tissue stuffing.

As a result, I came up with a solution that has worked for me, in that I've never had a buyer "miss" the strap. I never remove a strap from the bag. I fold and wrap it but leave one side attached to the side of the bag before putting the strap inside the bag.

I sent a priority package to Hawaii and it was delivered on a Sunday. Isn't that odd?

no. my mom lives on kauai and they don't get regular mail delivery in some parts of the island. a few years ago she would only get mail twice a week and packages once a week, and she'd have to walk down to the post office for her stuff. it'd be odd if it was Oahu, since Honolulu is so large, but if you sent it to a smaller island it's kinda normal to get mail sporadically and on 'off' days. unless you paid for a sunday express/special delivery the post office won't drop on sunday just because, they have union/government rules guiding them.

I received a delivery last sunday. I think during the holidays they must extend package delivery days and times.
That's what my husband thinks.

It was in Honolulu. It must be special holiday delivery hours. I didn't pay for anything extra.

I've been an ebay buyer for about 10 years now, I think.

I buy mostly for myself - those are vintage Hermes, Dior and Chanel bags.

In all this time I've never, ever, had a problem with a single transaction - you might think 'unbelievable' but it's true !
So, in a Christmassy-emotional, state of mind, i'd just like to say a big 'Thank You' to the US and Japanese sellers that I've bought from - if any forum members are they, then I hope this reaches you in a relaxed and happy moment :smile1::smile1:
Have a prosperous New Year :smile1:

DrAtty, yes, you're right there - calm, relaxed, polite attitude, is the way buyers should be and the way I would like to be described, as a buyer, and yes, especially when buying high-end (god I hate buzzwords) goods.

I've had good experiences even with sellers that others have left bad feedback for so I think it's very much an 'attitude thing'.

I think, aswell, that inexperienced buyers could be the reason some leave negative feedback, and yes, there must be some that are just plain awkward and/or dishonest - for that reason I doubt i'd ever be a seller of goods.
