Thanks for the previous answers.

I sold a denim to Italian buyer today, it is worth $500.

As many of you already know, Italian postal service suck. They tend to lose the packages well, and they open most of the packages that are going through their customs.

So, of course as a seller, I do not want my item not delivered or lost in transit.

What method should I use?

I was going to use USPS Express Mail Fully Insured which costs me about $40 ~ $50.

Several people suggested me to use UPS/DHL/Fedex but they cost me about $100 ~ $120

And I charged buyer only $50 for shipping.

Buyer has solid feedback, and his shipping address is confirmed.

What should I do? Should I use USPS Express? or 3rd-Party Shipper?

Please advice.

Thanks.

ATTENTION SELLERS USING THE USPS:
I received two packages today:
One was for a $400 piece of jewelry mailed by seller with signature confirmation express mail- it was left in my mailbox-nobody signed :-(
One was sent via priority mail with 15 cents under postage - it was marked return to sender- was left on my porch.

I will contact both sellers inform them.:smile1:

The seller who paid for s.c. can get a refund of the s.c. payment from the post office. It's not a huge deal for her to claim it but they didn't provide the service that was paid for and your seller is lucky she got an honest buyer.

You can bet your bippy I would be on the phone getting my $$ back.....as well as giving them an earful they wouldn't be likely to forget.

Just checked the tracking status, it says "out for delivery"lol.
Can you imagine if you are the seller?
TBH, I don't like that the mail person left the box in my mailbox as some random person could just help themselves. He/she went on the porch already, why not leaving it there?

Phew. I got an e-mail that an item sold so I logged into eBay and am suddenly sifting through ten messages sent in the span of a day from a low feedback crazy buyer. The first few messages are the buyer trying to low-ball me and then raising their offers slightly over the span of a few hours. Then I was worried that this crazy person was my buyer. Thankfully, someone decided to BIN. But then the crazy person keeps sending messages- offering more then the list price and then asking me where they could buy an item like the one I just sold.

Big sigh of relief that my buyer has hundreds of positive feedbacks as opposed to crazy buyer's low feedback and ten messages in a day. Added crazy buyer to my block list and am sending my lovely buyer's package out tomorrow. This was my first sale in a long time and I think I might pull my other items for consignment as that was waaaay too close of a call for comfort.

What is with the postal systems this week??????
I have one package that was guaranteed delivery today that tracking hasn't been updated since Saturday (currently w/ USPS - Xpresspost) & One that's just a parcel that hasn't been updated since the 3rd!! (Canada Post)
:pout:

^^ To update my post (one up) can someone please explain to me how I'm still getting messages from the crazy person when I blocked them? They're still trying to make offers on an item I already sold and shipped. They also send me messages asking if I got their messages. How do I get this person to stop spamming me?? They seem unstable, I really don't want to make them crazier by responding.
