Ive just had a very strange question about a bag I was selling/sold...

A prospective buyer yesterday morning emailed asking for more photos as they would like to buy so I gave them extra.

Heard nothing back so this morning I counter offered to another buyer and they accepted and paid.

Then a bit later I had an email from the first guy asking if he had won the bag, he had put in an offer of x amount (the amount I sold the bag for) I have had no offers from this ebay ID...

Im wondering if this person now has 2 Ebay IDs or if they are just a bit confused over how Ebay works...

I am here because I listed my LV purse on ebay. After listing it, the listing was removed by Ebay. I didn't have any authentication information on the listing, but I have noticed that a lot of people selling LV's on there don't either. I was advised to not relist, but if I can prove it authentic, I wonder if I will be able to. Anyhow, I know you have to provide pictures in order to receive authenticity on a purse. and I guess the code within the purse.
The code is M11087
If anyone can help me, I will appreciate it a lot.
Thank you,
Michelle

Hi Michelle! Welcome to TPF! :welcome2:

You're not allowed to post your own listings on here. To prove authenticity, you'll have to go to one of the third party eBay approved authenticators, listed in the LV subforum. :smile1:

I don't know if it would do any good. Once a person has left good feedback, I don't think they can do anything about getting their money back. So you are just going to make her feel worse.

If an item is proved to be not authentic, it doesn't matter whether the buyer already left positive fb for the seller. The buyer is allowed to return the fake item to the seller for their money back.

You can post your pictures here for authentication, but no mention of selling......good luck!

Hi Michelle! Welcome to TPF! :welcome2:

Actually, for LV, you can have your own stuff authenticated, you just can't post a link to your auction. Each Authenticate This subforum has it own rules (for example, you can't in Chanel).

So Michelle, you can have your bag authenticated in the Authenticate This subforum in the Louis Vuitton area. You must post there, not here. Also, go to the first page of that subforum and follow the rules (there are specific photos and info needed in order to authenticate). Be sure to also post the photos rather than any links to your auction. Good luck!

Oh that's right... I forget how strict Chanel's authentiation guidelines are :p

Thank you. Will the post just be a reply to mine or will I get it as a message like I did this? Do you know how long it usually takes? This purse was a gift and it came in a saks box. I've had it for awhile, but want to get rid of it because it was from an ex.

Hi there! Yes, the post will be a reply to yours and it can take 24 hours....the authenticators are volunteers, so you just have to be patient and wait for them to come on and check the posts...if you don't get an answer after 24 hours, you can repost......be sure you follow the guidelines in the first post of the thread....they want essential pictures and the name of the item....Good luck!
