Does anyone use Poshmark?

did you look at her profile to see if you can glean anything about her? sales or love notes?
Good idea! No sales or love notes, joined in December 2024, last active 10 days ago, following quite a few closets. Since she hasn't been active, it's possible she didn't see my message, but you would think she would be concerned about where her package is.

yes
unless she got it and didn't remember to mark it received
My last sale the person didn't acknowledge it but it tracked and I got paid in three days. a couple of days later I got a five star rating. she didn't seem to have a lot of experience

also google her username. her comments can pop up in search. but don't worry much about the buyer. If the sale stopped moving in tracking (regardless if she had received it or not) the order will be cancelled by Poshmark. Most likely you will be paid by Poshmark as well, they will mark it lost by USPS. You need to contact support and ask to look at it and release your funds. it may take a couple of weeks.

Thanks! I figured I'd wait until Tuesday to contact Poshmark because of the holiday.

ETA: another great idea! I saw that she commented on another listing for a related item back in January before she bought my bag. The seller asked her to rephrase her question because she didn't understand but my buyer never got back to her. No other activity.

One time I had a package lost by UPS. It was a small purchase from costco. costco replaced the item and the package mysteriously arrived about a month later. so your buyer could end up with her refund and the item.
Let us know what happens.

Surprisingly the tracking has updated! The package is in her state now so she should get it tomorrow or the next day. After all of this, I hope she likes it!

I've had packages lost when I ordered from companies, such as Amazon or Walmart, and got a refund or a new item without a problem. One time my mailman admitted he had delivered it to the wrong address but when he went back it wasn't there. Since it was an apartment building, he had no idea who had it.

I had a sale I made on etsy get lost by USPS. After I refunded the buyer and got paid by USPS for the insurance (which was less than the package was worth since I didn't buy additional insurance), the buyer got the package and ghosted me. She got her refund and the item, which she resold for 100% profit.

Once in awhile I'll accept an offer and the sale doesn't happen because the payment couldn't be processed. Later when I look at the offer, it shows the buyer withdrew the offer about an hour after I accepted the offer, and doesn't mention anything about the payment not being able to be processed. In my experience, whenever the payment can't be processed, it never gets corrected. You would think the buyer would just put in another credit card and the sale would go through but that never happens. Has anyone else ever had a sale go through after it was initially cancelled to a problem with the payment?

It makes me wonder if some buyers use a credit card they know won't work just to see what price you'll accept.

BTW, this wasn't a newbie. The would-be buyer has items listed for sale.

Where can you see the buyer withdrew the offer after payment method failed?

Yes, some buyers deliberately put expired cards and send multiple offers but they can only afford to pay for 1. It was mentioned multiple times on Reddit. That's shady IMO.
Some also keep expired cards because of the Live shows, because it's so easy to butt click and buy something which can't be cancelled. That I can understand.

The buyer made an offer. I countered. She countered, which I accepted. When you click on the offer in the notifications, it shows you the history, starting with what you listed the item at, then their offer, etc. My acceptance doesn't show on that screen like it would if the sale had gone through. Instead, it shows that she cancelled her offer.

I'm wondering if any of the times the sale doesn't go through are legitimate. Maybe she was just trying to see how desperate I am to sell, but I have no idea why if she has no interest in buying.

This is not exactly related to your situation, but somewhat related to a legitimate buyer where the order is canceled. I usually use my account to buy items, but I was using my husband‘s account to buy something on his likes list. I guess it was his first purchase in awhile? The purchase went through like normal, I had to enter in new payment details because it looks like the card had expired since his last purchase. A few hours later I got an email asking to verify my identity with an official government photo identification card. I uploaded it and it said it was accepted. The next day I got an email that the photo was too blurry and they needed me to submit it again through the app. It makes me wonder if buyers may not notice these seemingly junk emails asking for ID verification, or maybe they just ignore them, and then Poshmark probably cancels the order.

I think a lot of people would balk at being asked to upload a picture ID.

Hi ladies,

I'm currently dealing with a damaged bag I received from Poshmark.

The bag passed their in-house authentication and was sent to me. However, the package was left at the reception of my building, and I did not receive it on the day it was marked as delivered. I immediately notified Poshmark about this. The package appeared after the weekend (our building's mailroom sometimes processes packages with a delay), and upon receiving the bag, I noticed damage that was not mentioned in the listing. The bag was advertised as "practically brand new," so I’m unsure how their in-house inspection failed to catch this issue.

The problem is that because I received the bag on the fourth day after delivery, I am unable to report the issue through the app. I have emailed Poshmark, but they have not responded.

Any suggestions on what I should do next? Should I go straight to PayPal and open a claim there?

They should have responded to your item not received message with an email saying something along the lines of “please check around at your neighbors houses and let us know if you locate it”. Reply to that email and say that it was located but the item is damaged and does not match the description.
