Does anyone use Poshmark?

Is it easy to sell on Poshmark? I’ve had bad experiences on eBay and have some stuff that local resale shops won’t take…
It's my favorite platform because of the shipping label (you can use any box as long as it is under 5 pounds) and the 3 day acceptance policy (meaning once the buyer accepts the order or 3 days have passed since delivery you get your money). You need to realize that people are going to make lower offers so price high.

Than you! Is it easy to list items and what happens if they don’t like the item? I’m so nervous from eBay where people find the slightest reason to return and make up issue..

I've had a lot fewer problems on Poshmark than ebay. People know they can cheat the system on ebay. If someone complains, more than likely they will be allowed to return on Posh, but you won't be out any money, since Posh pays the postage both ways.

It is easy to list, doesn't cost anything. Photos need to be square so if they aren't, it might cut them off weirdly. Also I don't think people avoid new sellers like they might on ebay.

I've been looking for a specific pair of sunglasses since August. I finally found a pair close enough on Poshmark Saturday and jumped on them. I had no idea about the buyer protection fee until I was looking at the email from Poshmark. I thought I must have overlooked a box I should have unchecked to cancel it. LOL! But I've been looking for those sunglasses everywhere and the fee wouldn't have stopped me from buying them if I had seen it. (I bought something on Poshmark August 25th and the fee was not there.)

Also, regarding what a seller charges for shipping on Ebay, there's a Dooney bag on Poshmark I'm thinking about buying. I checked Ebay and the same seller is selling the bag on Ebay for the same price, but the shipping cost is $38.45!

It costs a lot more to ship when either the seller or buyer live near the coast and the other one lives on the other side of the country. Ebay's calculated shipping doesn't take into account that sometimes it is cheaper to use a flat rate box. That could bring it down to around $25 - still very expensive and doesn't include extra insurance.

USPS flat rate box includes $100 insurance

Does anyone know what you are supposed to do when someone adds your listing to their show? This has happened several times but I've never made a sale from it. I don't know if I'm supposed to participate in some way with the show.

My bags have been featured in shows, but I usually don’t see the notification until way later and I didn’t realize that I had to do anything. I just thought they would show the listing in the show and that people could buy it if they wanted to.

Last week, I saw that my bag was featured in a show and I actually had a little bit of time so I joined in to check it out. I still had the same assumption, but it is actually like an Instagram live selling show, if you have ever seen one of those. The difference is that the host is mostly just chatting and talking about the bags and people are chatting in the comments, while in the background they are showing photos of all of the bags in the show. I think some shows are for sellers who have all of the bags on hand to sell, but in the one I watched, the host had some bags behind him that he was selling himself, but it was mostly just Poshmark listings from various sellers. When he got to the photos of my bag for the second or third time (they rotate through photos until someone comments that they want to see a certain one or a seller asks to have their bag featured). He was saying it was cute etc., so I engaged with him in the comments and started talking about the bag. He was like, “ well if you want me to auction it off just let me know.” I had seen the mention of auctioning in the show, but I didn’t know what that meant, I realized basically people were just putting prices that were their listing prices or maybe with a slight discount, and when you put your bag up for auction in the show it meant that they were going to feature it to actually allow people to buy it in the show then. When your bag is featured/auctioned, they just go through all of the photos in your Poshmark listing one by one and talk about the bag and details in the photos, like “oh it has a little bit of corner wear here, or the hardware looks perfect” etc. I tuned in for about 45 minutes, and I don’t think any of the bags featured sold, but these were all fairly expensive bags, so I don’t think it was really the best place to sell them.

So to answer your question, I think you join the show and then you put your bag up for auction or ask to be featured so that the host knows that you want to try to sell it in the show. You can enter whatever price you want to sell it for when you join the show; I’m not sure if that part is mandatory, but like I said, most people just had their regular listing price. Then when your bag comes up in the snow, you talk about it in the comments at the bottom and chat with the host/answer questions from people who also joined in.

I bought an item last week and she hasn't shipped...I messaged her a couple of days ago and she said she would ship Thursday (yesterday).....didn't happen...messaged her again this morning - she has been active this morning and hasn't responded. It's a small sale so I understand she may not really care but once you accept an offer it only seems right to ship it (she has love notes). I know I can cancel but I want the item. someone on Reddit said you can cancel and then try to buy again. guess I'll wait another day or two and see what she says or does.

I don't know what else you could do. It's possible she shipped it Thursday and it just hasn't started tracking yet.

I don't understand that kind of seller. I ship immediately. I get nervous the buyer will get upset at me when it doesn't get scanned right away. I think people expect to get things quickly these days. I've been spoiled by Amazon.

I'm the same...I learned here on the PF back in the day that if you sold something on ebay or Bonanza you were supposed to ship fast - like next day. that is what I do.
Seller has pages of love notes

I don't think she has shipped. Maybe she will today. but her being active on there and not answering my question makes me worry.

I got my "black" top....got here fast. In vg condition. The color is navy, not black. Maybe she wasn't selling from her own closet so wasn't that familiar with her items. For what I paid and since I can wear it, I'm not going to complain.
