I do for the reasons you just stated.. I carry a low key bag for work and any other place where a designer bag might get ruined.
I keep my nicer bags for going out
No. Not hard at all if the bag meets certain criteria: Excellent quality, excellent materials, and is unique looking. I tend to go with purses that not a lot of people have, yet staying within a certain price range. When it comes to purses 'broad' is a great way to think because there are so many types to choose from. Just be picky about quality and materials used.
Once I started buying designer, I have to admit it was a bit difficult to go back to non designer. However, I've been making my way back down (price wise) (ie. Balenciaga-->Chanel-->Kate Spade--J.Crew (last 4 most recent brands purchased).
I'm actually enjoying the Kate Spade a lot...it's leather, it's practical and I won't feel a need to baby it like the premier designer bags.
Plus, its nice to be able to buy 3-4 bags and it's still a fraction of the price of a Chanel![]()
Me too. A bit embarassed to admit it but I do feel somehow not as put together when I'm not carrying a designer bag. I really need to get over this : )I just can't do it. Even on laundry day I would feel weird not carrying a designer bag. It has become a part of who I am..
I feel the EXACT same way. It's nothing against non-designer bags, but there's just something about a really well made handbag that pulls everything together. Now the only time I use non-designer bags is when I go away on vacation to the Caribbean.Me too. I definitely can't carry non designer bags anymore, and it has nothing to do with snobbery! It's as simple as this - when I have spent a TON of money on designer bags, I find it wasteful to let them sit in my closet. I don't have that sort of money. If I use them, at least I've spent the money on something that I use. Also, why would I want to carry a lesser bag when I have access to nicer bags? I hoarded some no name cute bags for a while, but they just sat there... so I don't lie to myself anymore.
