Does anyone find it hard to use a non-designer bag after having designer bags...?

I find bag designs/designers I like and that I feel are quality and stick with them, regardless of whether they are "designer" or not. Currently more of these are premier designer, but not all, and I'm open to anything. :D

TBH I find myself enjoying my non-designer bags more after carrying my designers. i realise that many of the non designer bags are probably just as well made and beautiful sans the label baggage.

I've been buying mostly Marc Jacobs and Tods bags the past few years. I like the quality but there has not been a bag that I've loved so much I couldn't part with it. That feeling of being tempted to sell all my bags after a while is making me kind of gun-shy about spending a lot on a bag. Lately I've been interested in a couple of non-designer bags that I would have rejected before - Brahmin and Kenneth Cole NY. I'm not hard on my bags and the quality on these appears to be fine. If I buy one and decide I don't love it as much because it cost less, then maybe I'll regret it. But lately I just haven't seen a designer bag I want to buy. I'm sure as soon as I go buy one of the less expensive bags, I'll find a designer bag again.

Love Brahmin, had a Kenneth Cole bag in the past that I loved to death. I think your choices are great! :D

I'm new here so I can't post yet, but after reading the post here I need to ask what do you consider a designer bag? I'm not trying to be funny or insulting here; I'm asking this question because I have a feeling my idea and other ladies are different . I consider a Coach a designer bag as well as L.V. Anyway I carry and buy what ever I like. :smile1::smile1:

I carry my Hermes, Chanel, Dior, Prada just like I carry Zara or some no brand bags.

I care about the style and quality, not the name. I love purchasing learher goods from local craftsmen when I travel.
Recently I got an amazing bag from Turkey that was custom made for me, hand stitched, fully my design. It has my name and my taste, not Prada. What can be better? ;)

I've no problem carrying non-designer bags. In fact, I think I'm getting comfortable carrying those less well known branded bags coz there're just too many ladies carrying designer bags eg, chanel, LV, Hermes, prada, in the small country where I live.

I definitely agree with you! Though premier bags that I love make me happy, there are days when I just wanna be unique. I don't need to wear designer. If what I'm wearing fits the bag, then I'll wear the bag even if non designer. But there are days when I want to wear my premium designer bag and I have to match my clothes with it. :)

Once I started buying designer, I have to admit it was a bit difficult to go back to non designer. However, I've been making my way back down (price wise) (ie. Balenciaga-->Chanel-->Kate Spade--J.Crew (last 4 most recent brands purchased).

I'm actually enjoying the Kate Spade a lot...it's leather, it's practical and I won't feel a need to baby it like the premier designer bags.

Plus, its nice to be able to buy 3-4 bags and it's still a fraction of the price of a Chanel :D
