I find bag designs/designers I like and that I feel are quality and stick with them, regardless of whether they are "designer" or not. Currently more of these are premier designer, but not all, and I'm open to anything.

I've been buying mostly Marc Jacobs and Tods bags the past few years. I like the quality but there has not been a bag that I've loved so much I couldn't part with it. That feeling of being tempted to sell all my bags after a while is making me kind of gun-shy about spending a lot on a bag. Lately I've been interested in a couple of non-designer bags that I would have rejected before - Brahmin and Kenneth Cole NY. I'm not hard on my bags and the quality on these appears to be fine. If I buy one and decide I don't love it as much because it cost less, then maybe I'll regret it. But lately I just haven't seen a designer bag I want to buy. I'm sure as soon as I go buy one of the less expensive bags, I'll find a designer bag again.
In fact I get much more of a rush when I find something that no one has ever heard of that happens to be beautifully designed and excellent quality materials and is a good price! Then I really feel like it's mine, like I discovered it.![]()

I care about the style and quality, not the name. I love purchasing learher goods from local craftsmen when I travel.
Recently I got an amazing bag from Turkey that was custom made for me, hand stitched, fully my design. It has my name and my taste, not Prada. What can be better?![]()
Once I started buying designer, I have to admit it was a bit difficult to go back to non designer. However, I've been making my way back down (price wise) (ie. Balenciaga-->Chanel-->Kate Spade--J.Crew (last 4 most recent brands purchased).
I'm actually enjoying the Kate Spade a lot...it's leather, it's practical and I won't feel a need to baby it like the premier designer bags.
Plus, its nice to be able to buy 3-4 bags and it's still a fraction of the price of a Chanel![]()
