Does anyone find it hard to use a non-designer bag after having designer bags...?

I still have my non designer bags, but after owning nicer bags I dont feel the need to use them. After all, I have spent a lot of money on a bag so I want to be able it use and enjoy it! I like how I feel when carrying my designer bags too. It makes me feel more confident and special, because finally, I can nice things for myself. :)

I use designer and non-designer bags according to where I'm going and how I feel. I may carry a no-brand bag in the morning and one of my Mulberries in the evening - I own my bags because I like them. If I like a bag, I want to use it. It's as simple as that.

This is a great question, I know I would find it difficult to buy non designer brands just because I love my bags so much and like others have mentioned once you know what quality feels like....

I could do with a no. Designer / low end brand for work because we sell accessories and bags (non leather) and I think my work colleges would freak in I brought my actual bags into work! (Plus there's no where safe to keep them) I'm going to have to buy a low level designer that be roughed about abit :(

I don't find it hard at all. I feel so much more relaxed and carefree when carrying my non-designer bags as I don't have to obsess about dirt, rain, etc plus I'm less likely to get mugged :p

I have 8 designer bags which includes lv, burberry, Mk and 3 non-designers bag ($70-&100) These non designer bags are my everyday bags, i always carry them to malls & grocery stores.

That's how I feel too! I do not have any premier designer bags but I still have my favorites amongst my contemporary designer brands. I can't go back to the truly cheapo bags I had in high school and college due to quality. I recently purchased a Longchamp Le Pliage medium shoulder tote and it's my new go-to daily bag. No fuss, no muss, no worries.

Of course, it took me a few years to get over the fact that I'd be paying over $100 for nylon and a few bits of leather. :p

I liken this with car rims (and my BF agrees). For me, premier handbags are analogous to premier rims. I love some expensive, high-quality wheels but haven't bit the bullet because I know I'd be CONSTANTLY worrying about scratching them up, thieves, accidents etc - even though they are gorgeous and well-made/crafted, lightweight, etc. Some of my car friends rock their fancy high-end wheels all the time. Others trot them out for meets and/or only the summer. Guess boys think the same way. :D

For me, a bag must have a great combination of quailty and look before name brand. And I do appreciate a combination of quality and look the high end designer bags offer, and most of the time they are the only ones who can. But.... once in awhile, I got lucky and found an amazing non-brand vintage bag with everything I love AND the right price that can give my high end designer bags a run for their money.

Is it hard to use a non-designer bag after having designer bags? NOPE. My amazing vintage bags proved that to me over and over again :happydance:

I don't use non branded bags anymore ever since I started using the branded one.
I actually threw or gave them away. Very sinful but life is short. Gonna enjoy every moment
Same goes for wallets and watches.
Since already spent so much on the items, must utilize them daily, lol

agree... I don't use/buy non branded bags anymore after I have started collecting branded bags...
even on a super casual day, I will not reach out for e non branded bags cos I want to make e most out of it for e price I paid for...
for casual will just use longchamp, travelling will use lv and for special occasions then will take out my chanel.....

There are many nice bags available from many brands out there. I like a variety so it's not hard to switch from one to another. But it would b hard to switch to a generic type bag, such as a Target or Walmart bag.

I don't buy or use any "regular" bag anymore. Feels like a waste of money when I can save them and use on a designerbag that I really want! :p My collection isn't that big, but I have some pieces that can manage some rain, so I don't worry that much. I bought them to use them :smile1:
