Weekly VCA bulletin:

Two low key events. Cartier and Coastal Grandma vibes everywhere! I’m surprised to see lots of Dior bags again this weekend. One nano Kelly, no twilly or charm. I did see a lot of Hermes jewelry. Chanel bags and Love bracelets everywhere. Caftans for everyone! VCA spotted:

Where I live, Cartier is far more plentiful seen out in the wild. The height of VCA may have been during the early 2000's, when I saw quite a bit of it back then. Then again, it may just be that life has been pretty casual in recent years.

Funny , we see that VCA is on Social Media so much more now, but I do not feel in mainstream movies or TV nor on many celebs . I remember seeing it so much in Sex and the City , Gossip Girl and mainstream movies. The Jones has some great Alhambra shots! @Notorious Pink Demi Moore wears hers slung in a belt loop in her pants! Nice Idea for you, haha.

As for influencers, Lily Van Der Woodson would be the only one to sway me to want WG pure pave Alhambra.

I live in a city with a population around 1 million, and I rarely see VCA in the wild. I do see a decent amount of Love bracelets and those Tiffany T bracelets. Yurman stacks used to be huge, but that seems to be dying down. I can’t think of any “popular” necklaces.

I previously thought VCA was going to be too delicate for my current lifestyle (SAHM to active toddlers), but I saw an older woman wearing her hammered 5 motif in the pool at the club, and that’s what made me decide to take the plunge (pun intended).

No big events this week. Several dinners out. As always, Love bracelets so ubiquitous you’d think they were like those paper bracelet things they give you for admission. Must have one to get in the door I guess… Anyway, not a lot of VCA. I must hang out in the wrong places:

Most exciting to me — hammered 20! If you were sporting one of these in the Hamptons this weekend my apologies. I think YG, but the wearer definitely caught me staring, yikes.

Not a lot. I tend to do benefits, art events, and low key restaurants, not the young party scene, maybe they’re more common in other circles. A fair amount of Hermes fashion jewelry.

LOL, it’s all in between on LI! Go to any country club and you’ll see a ton of it. I often go with a close friend to Glen Oaks and I always have the best sightings there. We are taking a cc break after 16 or so years but wherever we belonged, it was everywhere. For dining, you’ll see it all at Toku (bags too!), maybe Cipollini, etc. Unfortunately the more basic pieces (VA Pendant, gold Love) are worn by the teenagers.

Aha. I’m a cidiot out east part of the year and a cidiot in the city most of the rest. I am rarely around teenagers. :)

I did see a fair amount this weekend. Love bracelets everywhere but I rarely see a pendant. Once I force myself to look I see a few pieces everywhere, but it’s not like oh how boring, more VCA.

Last weekend I saw

Magic 16
Magic bracelet
YG hammered 10 w vintage earrings
Butterfly ring (pink sapphire)
Stacked WG and either YG or RG clover
Byzantine alhambra bracelet
YG pave bracelet and earrings

And, the showstopper….

Had to come back to this thread, I was running errands after an appointment in a historic neighborhood (in a large, dense U.S. city) where I live, and had two VCA sightings back to back. I wasn’t looking for them but it was a beautiful day and

- 1 magic Alhambra YG MOP between the finger ring
- 1 sweet Alhambra butterfly YG MOP pendant

caught my eye absolutely sparkling in the sun, or maybe it was because I was wearing one of my pieces? Regardless, not everywhere here but definitely an eye-catching combo (YG/MOP) to me.

The Americana is a great place to people watch, especially if you get an outside table at Cipolini near the path of people walking this way and that. Lots of great VCA and Hermes eye candy to spot. :lol:

Is this the sort of west coasty shopping center? I’ve stopped there a few times, usually to pick up housewares and it looks interesting, rarely see any people. I assume because of the off time or the area I go to, which has only been house things. Picked up some amazing steals a few years ago when it looked like dwr was closing because they were selling everything at huge discounts. Will have to check it out
