i usually do a bunch of research online, go to the store for a look at them in real life (usually alone), but when i'm making the purchase, i usually bring someone along to share in my joy!! not the bf though, he usually gets mad when i take 'too long' cooing over something..

Hi, I'm fairly new to the forum. Not sure if this is the right thread, but I have a question. I work for the airlines, so I fly for free. I'm thinking about flying to Paris to purchase a few Louis Vuitton items. Has anyone ever been and can anyone explain to me what is a VAT tax? Is there a major difference in selection and price?

When buying designer handbag I usually go shopping with DH i always have to ask his permission before I drop $$$ .. not that his paying for it coz I do .. and I like hearing his opinion on certain ..
when shopping clothes and shoes for a party I like to shop by myself I don't want to be rushed ..

I can't believe so many shop alone! I thought I was the only person out there not shopping with friends. I wouldn't mind shopping with friends but don't currently have any that would want to shop at the same stores, so I'm on my own.

Usually alone, although sometimes I have my tween daughter with me, but she usually just tries to rush me along to go shop someplace for things she is interested in. She tells me not to even ask her opinion because she just doesn't have one. :huh:

I learned a long time ago that I do far better shopping alone than with other people. When I'm alone I don't have anyone's else tastes mingling with mine and influencing my decisions. Not to mention no one to tell me to hurry because we've been here long enough. Oh the joy of solo shopping!
