I prefer to shop alone, when I really plan on buying something. When I'm with my mom, we "window shop" and ooh and aah together, but when I know I WANT something, I go by myself, because I don't need the guilt. It's my paycheck.

It depends, if I know I'm going to the store to buy something I've done some research on but wanted to check it out in store I would bring someone (friend, boyfriend) for their second opinion but when I'm just looking I normally go by myself and take my time other people with me might start to get impatient. When I go by myself just to look and can't decide then I'll bring my friend or boyfriend next time to help me out lol.
I never go with by boyfriend - he hates shopping so much, especially handbag shopping and would probably prefer me to only have one bag rather than the masses I already own (am a bag fan!). 
I tend to prefer going alone because if I'm looking for a bag I like to spend time to think about it, and if I'm with other people I always worry that they'll get bored or even judge me for spending so much money on handbags!! Also, I find it a bit awkward trying on bags in the shop infront of people, so I'd get embarassed if I was with someone else. Or, if I'm the only person buying stuff and my friends haven't bought anything!! Having said that, I always think the SAs look at me more when I'm on my own, and find that kinda embarassing too!! Especially if its a high-end store or one that I go to often Shopping with friends is fun though, so I still love to go with them, particularly if its just shopping without aims to get anything in particular, or for clothes/other things! Its always nice to have a second opinion too though.

Most of the time I shop with my husband. He has no problem with me spending $$$ on bags, shoes or clothes, and he is incredibly patient with me (2 malls in one day? no problem) while I check out the various designers and shapes and colors. He isn't afraid to give me his opinion, and he has good taste - if he says something isn't flattering on me, I totally trust him. Likewise, if he suggests a bag I haven't considered, he has always been dead-on. Gotta love a man who is secure enough in his masculinity to be a fashion consultant!
If I have intentions to make purchases, I prefer to shop alone, whether it's bags, shoes, or clothes. If I'm just bored and walk to around the stores and boutiques...friends are just fine. I also like shopping with DH occasionally because as much as he claims that he doesn't understand why I'd spend $$$ on bags (he's ok with shoes and clothes), he almost never tells me no
I prefer to shop alone. Most of my homework is done online first. It's too easy to get carried away in the excitement of a girlfriend or be hi-jacked by a boyfriend with an agenda of getting it over with as soon as possible . Picking out a handbag is a statement of my personal style and at the end of the day, it's me who has to live with with my purchase so it's best to remove all external influences

On my own, definitely. As I do most of shopping apart from those trips I need someone to carry stuff for me

Alone, I can be really indecisive and I like to do alot of research before committing the $$! If research is done and I can't decide between a color then I'm happy to have friends along who know my taste.
