Do You Prefer Size 30 or 35 Birkin?

I'm 5'2" and have a 30 and 35. I prefer the 30 as I seem to scratch corners more with my 35. I also love the 32 HAC.

The 30 looks too much like a chanel jumbo and makes me appear fat. The 40 also stunts me. the 35 is parfait.

Can anyone advise what is the entry level for a Birkin / Kelly bag? In terms of leather type, color or maybe size? I am dying to get hold of one so I really don't mind the size or color. It is the leather type that I am unfamiliar with. I am 5'7" so I guess for me the bigger the better. I am looking forward to visiting Paris soon so am hoping to push my luck there.

Definitely appreciate any sort of feedback. Love this forum and you wonderful and knowledgeable people. I am glad I joined but missed out soo much.

35! 30 is a quite small bag frankly smaller than a Kelly 32 if you like...

30, I am 5'2 inches and medium build. The biggest I would go because of proportion and weight of bag is a 32 HAC. The 30 if bat-winged out does not look purse-y. The 32 HAC looks better tucked in. JMO though.

I think you are right, I enjoy my 30cm the most but thats probably because that is all I have. I call it my Barenia Baby Birkin for everyday in and out of a car and to work...

I like my 35, great for work and weekend shopping... I can fit my Dell E4200 laptop in it without having to carry another laptop bag!

Both sizes can be great for everyday. You can fit a lot in a 30cm! Personally I prefer the look of a 30cm on a smaller gal, but that's not to say that anyone can't rock a 35cm!

For a 35cm Birkin, my one "must have" is a lightweight leather because I have owned a couple that were too heavy and I didn't enjoy carrying them. I just got an evercalf 35cm that is as light as my togo 30cm and a joy to carry.

A 30 because I use it as a purse - I do not want to use it like a tote bag because my tote bags always just end up getting trashed .
