I prefer Damier over Mono - love the pattern and it still doesn't seem to be as commonly seen as Mono. Just wish there were more Damier styles to choose from!

Nope! My 1st LV is a Mono. I just recently bought an Ebene because the Bloomsbury only comes in Ebene Might buy a Speedy next time either in Epi or Azur. But, if I'll buy a wallet - it will definitely be in Ebene

I think it depends on the style. I love my Bloomsbury and I really like the Trevi.

easy to match. check pattern is quite simple. with monogram the logos got different shapes etc. thats why i prefer damier

i have a question abt damier ebene.
i had a papillon in 2008 and just got myself a trevi.
i noticed that the color of canvas looked diff for both bags.
the 'brown' checks on papillon looked less brownish and more dull, while the new trevi looked more brown and bright.
is it bcoz of the aging? do u gals hav the same problem?

I like the damier the most because it doesn't scream and I would like it even if it had vachetta. Regarding mono, I think the vachetta only adds to its beauty.

I never liked the Ebene pattern but when I saw the red lining- I had to have a Speedy!! I haven't really used it that much until recently when I got a few bag charms and my DH told me he likes that pattern the best!

I still love Mono and Azur but I have so many of bags in those patterns. I got an Eva today in Ebene and I think I'm slowly falling in love with Ebene too - at least for the cold weather!!! I'm also waiting for my first vernis pieces to come so I guess I'm branching out

Nv liked ebene. I find it very dull and the checkers look weird. The only one i got in ebene is the hampstead which i have to agree its worry-free. But i doubt i will get other bag in ebene. I Love the Vernis range for its vibrant colors. Got the french purse in pomme & the belle pm in red too. I am dying for the alma in red!

Praying LV will bring back the rose pop colors!

Im not a huge fan of the damier ebene although I do have two bags in this line. I dont like the stiffness.

I didn't like Ebene at all at first. My favorite was Azur and then Mono. My first LV was Mono Speedy because it's classic , then I got Trevi PM and loved the Ebene Pattern so much that I even got the Pochette in Ebene and now waiting for the Ebene Speedy 35. I still don't own any Azur which I adored at first LOL. Damier Ebene is very elegant and chic IMO.

I don't like damier ebene, it's such a muddy color. Not a fan of brown. The pattern and color makes the bags look 'flat' and masculine.
I love the azur tho, understated (when compared to mono) and more 'fresh'.
Mono is classic but sometimes too 'loud' when you don't want the attention.
