Do you like Damier because that's about the only option?

Im surprised so many people dun feel for Damier. I love Damier! It's Damier that got me to like LV.. There are some mono bags which i like too.. but somehow the people i know find that mono is kinda 'old/mature' looking. Old lady bag as i've heard lmaoo.. ^^

I have notice over that last few years, I have been purchasing more of the Damier and want more of Vernis canvas (Just my option, I think that the Alma's just look so stunning in Vernis vs. Mono or Damier ! )

It is not because I dislike the mono pieces due to the patina issue; it is more of liking the style of handbag and liking it more in Damier pattern. Also, I am trying to diversify my collection with something from different lines.

I like the Ebene because it's low maintenance and worry free but it's not my favorite pattern. I have the hampstead as well because it was the most feminine looking Ebene piece out there at the time.

Wish LV would find some way to make all their patterns weather resistance and worry free.

Nv liked ebene. I find it very dull and the checkers look weird. The only one i got in ebene is the hampstead which i have to agree its worry-free. But i doubt i will get other bag in ebene. I Love the Vernis range for its vibrant colors. Got the french purse in pomme & the belle pm in red too. I am dying for the alma in red!

Praying LV will bring back the rose pop colors!

Ebene is my least fav pattern because I find it masculine. I also prefer bags that are obnoxious and scream LV!!!!! Which is why my fav patterns are multicolore and vernis. I like how ebene is low maintenance though.

I'm just wondering if everyone feels they need to wear brown to carry Damier Ebene?

I keep seeing lots of responses from people saying they don't wear a lot of brown!

I don't wear ANY brown clothes ever but still carry Mono and am planning to buy Ebene Speedy. Is that bad??

Absolutely not. I only have a couple of things in brown, and don't like to match them with a brown bag. I think ebene looks great with black, red, purple, blue... but not with brown.

^^Not at all. I use my Damier Ebene pieces with whatever outfit I have on that I feel it works well with...Same with my Damier Azur Saleya MM. I don't just carry my Azur Saleya MM with white or light clothing, and I don't limit it to just a warm weather piece either. I just carried it the other day while wearing "winter white."

I like Damier because it doesn't scream "LV" (unless you know, of course :D) ... I have a variety of LVs, but also like Damier because it is versatile (at least IMO).

I am NOT a fan of the checks. I only like Damier because it is totally worry free. If Mono came with handles that were not vachetta, there would never be a need for me to buy Damier. I do love Vernis, though!

I like Damier Ebene and have the Speedy 30. It doesn't seem masculine to me - just different and, as already said, more subtle. I also have the Mono Speedy because I love the style and size of the bag and actually love patina. Other styles in Ebene have not tempted me, though, for some reason. The bags I would immediately buy in Ebene would be the Delightful, Galliera or the Petit Noe. I recently said to my SA that it is a shame that LV doesn't offer some of the more favorite Mono styles in Ebene (I think someone said that earlier in this thread). I am not willing to pay the mark-up for an SO one; however. As soon as I do, I know they will make it one of the permanent line bags, lol.

I like the Damier Ebene, and the Azur is a close second. I have a mono with the vachetta leather trim, and I'm guessing you don't like it because it patinas and gets old fast (some people like that). I've had my mono batignolles horizontal for 6 years, and I don't carry it often, wipe the handles with baby wipes after each use, and put it back in the dust bag and box every time and it still looks brand new without a patina. It's just too much work...and not worth it in my opinion. The patina shows how old your bag is, and I like the newness of the bag. Damier looks new all the time.

Yes i would love mono more if it didnt come with the vachette I dont like it when it turns carmel color

damier ebene doesnt seem to age as fast and its more care-free and i love the dark color im not too crazy about that checkers thing but i love it either way i allso like vernis
