Do you dress up to go into an LV store?

I dont make a big effort to pick out something special just to wear to lv, i don't have to impress the SA, they have to impress ME if they want to make a sale, its their loss if they refuse anyone service because of appearance.
That being said, I usually dress in neat clean clothes anyway because I like looking that way :)

The LV SAs I've interacted with have all been helpful and friendly, but I do try to dress extra nice whenever I go shopping at higher-end stores. Being overweight (as I am) *does* affect how some SAs will treat you (don't even get me started about the Chanel SA who once told me I was too fat to buy an expensive purse...), but I've found that if I'm dressed up, I get better service.

geez for a SA to say that to a customer what a B!TCH!!! :hugs: you are beautiful!!! on the inside and outside!! we are all here for you!!! well i am anyways!!

I always like to dress nicely and look put together - no matter where I'm going so I guess I do dress up to go shopping but it's just how I like to dress on an everyday basis. I do wear flats and jeans though. Just like to dress them up a bit.

That's what I do! I think you don't need to dress up for a visit at LV store. There are a lot casual dressed people. I mean I go to LV to have fun, buy sth., look around,...In Germany the are noticeable a lot Japanese and Korean people (often in just their sightseeing-clothes) visiting Germany and taking a break at LV (I think it's because LV is relatively "cheap" here) and it's always a lot of fun!:smile1:
Btw I would not go in workout clothes etc. but I wouldn't do anything with them expect my workout ;)

My husband went to the LV store on worth ave in palm beach to look for something for me. And I kid you not they asked him what he was looking for, he told them and they looked at him and said "honey, maybe Macy's is more in your budget" are you kidding me!!! He was wearing nice golf shorts, a lacoste polo and sperry slip ons. For real lady?!?!? She no longer is employed with the company :)

Oh that makes me happy - I was hoping LV was still a little less in Germany! I'll be spending Christmas in Germany!

My experience in LV is always fine. But one time my husband went to prada(frankfurt) to order a bag for me at the weeknd, coz then they had no more in the store, and he dressed really casual and looked like a student. A women there told my husband that he was on the list and everything would be fine and i would get my bag in most ten days. But! After ten days we got nothing even no any feedback from the store. My husband phoned them, guess what they told him? They said, sorry u r not on the list. He went angry and normally he is not a person who can be angry easily..... He blamed them and complained a lit(i guess). In the end they said if he really wanted that bag they would keep one in the store for him and asked when he could go to pick it up. My husband said at once after work. He went there with nice suits(neccessary for work) to pick the bag. The woman who did't put him on waiting-list was there too. My husband told me i should be there to have a look how her face was and how big her mouth was. But my man just ignored her and talked to other sa. Finally i got the bag, but i dont wanna go shopping in prada so much any more......

I try to wear dresses or skirts, with tights in the winter, as opposed to jeans, and if i'm in jeans i try to pair them with heels instead of runners or flats...not really dressing up, just picking the better outfits in my wardrobe...i don't dress up price-wise though, last pair iof shoes i wore when i picked out my latest purse was bought in korea for USD 5 ;)

what ever i have on that day.... i have never dressed up to go shopping!!! tomorrow i'm going to lv in yorkdale... i will be wearing one of my favorite shopping outfits..(easy to take off and on when trying things on) ripped jeans, old navy tee and flat sandals... who cares what they think:p!!! when i get dressed in the mornings there is only one person looking back at me from the mirror.... ME!! if i like it.... i wear it!!

Wow, that is SO rude! I'm not surprised she's no longer with the company. Speaking to a customer like that should be grounds for instant dismissal!

I just stick to what I would like to wear modest and tidy. I don't put an extra effort in looking so nice when I'm going to a Louis Vuitton store because I think the sales associates should be the ones to impress me not the other way around. I am after all the customer. That's just my outlook and opinion. So far my shopping experience at Louis Vuitton where I have been a regular customer (Toronto, New York, Beverly Hills, Manila, Paris and Roppongi Hills) is pleasant I haven't encountered any rude sales associate. Thank goodness!

It's ironic that people's income bracket is judged by how they dress! I know several really wealthy people (one is titled) & a lot of the time, they dress very scruffily as they simply do not care what they look like or what others think! Each one of them could walk into Louis Vuitton & buy items without even bothering to look at the price & yet whilst perusing would probably be given short shrift by the shop staff!

Never judge a book by its cover would be my advice to any sales staff!

I dress the same whether I go to Zara or to LV so typically my outfit would consist of ballet flats, jeans a shirt and a blazer. Not sloppy but not overdressed either - I'm just an 18 year old student after all.
