Do you carry your LV in the winter?

A couple of weeks ago I bought my very first, brand new LV. I chose the Speedy 25 in DE and have zero regrets. I just wish I had taken the plunge sooner! Does anybody carry their LV in the winter? I am in Canada and winter will be here soon, but the thought of putting my LV away until spring makes me sad. Do you think it will be okay to use year round? I went with the DE so I didn't have to worry about water spots on the vachetta (my first LV was a gorgeous preloved Papillon and I just about died when I got caught out int he rain with it). Does the DE do well in the extreme cold?

I live in Edmonton and I use my LV's during the winter without a problem. If it's snowing or wet/slushy then my DE pieces get kicked out of their cozy little dustbags, but if it's sunny then any of them are fair game. If I have to go out into the butt numbing cold then so do they...misery loves company

I'm in Ottawa. I use my bags in the winter as long as it is under -30c
I find colder than that going from heat to cold and back again as u get in and out of the car etc can be tough on canvas and I worry about cracking. Probably silly I know!

I flat out refuse to go outside once it hits -30. Nothing is made to put up with that nonsense:yucky: This previous winter it hit -51 over here. Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope...

Thanks ladies! I love my Speedy so much. I had always wanted a Monogram Speedy, but I thought the DE was the best way to go with the snow and winter yuck being majority of the year here. I think my next LV will be a Mon Mono Speedy, but that one will only go outside in optimum weather conditions! Miss Krys - I live just outside of Edmonton! Have you been to the LV in Holt Renfrew here? I am thinking about making the trip in to have my Speedy hot stamped, but have heard horror stories about the SA's there. I was in the Calgary store back in 2012 and had the most amazing service even after I told the SA I was NOT buying that day. I've heard the service is quite rude in the Edmonton store. That is one of the reasons I bought my DE online - I didn't want to drive into the city (especially down town) and get poor service.

It can be really hit and miss sometimes with that location (the best service hands-down was when I was in Gold Coast, Australia!) but when I went in last week to send my Josephine wallet away for repairs the service was really good. I looked like a grub and was still jet-lagged a bit, but Rodney was a sweetie to me and I ended up purchasing my Delightful NM DE from him. If you have any other questions please feel free to PM bomb me:D

I use my DE Speedy 25 all year round and it still looks great after four years. I use it less often in winter but mainly because it's uncomfortable to wear on my arm over a winter coat. If the weather is really bad (blizzard or ice) I don't use it but that's more a fear of falling and damaging it that way, not that getting it wet will hurt it.
