Do Chanel shoes run true to size?

I am going to buy my first pair of Chanel ballerinas. There is no Chanel store in my country so I have to buy pre owned or call a Chanel store :/
Do you think they are true to size? I am a normal 38. Also use 38 in Christian Louboutin simple pumps.
I read that some say they are tts and some says they run small. One seller online measured the insole of the size 38 and it was 24 cm. It is the same as my other shoes. And how big is the difference between the half sizes? Is there a big difference between 37.5 and 38?
I have to go down a half size! I usually take a (UK) 5 (European 38) and have feet which are broad, but don't need a wide fitting (IYKWIM). In the ballet flats I take a 4.5 (37.5 European)
I really think the best way is to try them. Is there any way you can purchase through mail order with the option to return?

Hi, Hoping you guys can help...I want to buy a pair of chanel flats...pre-loved. Can anyone tell me if the sizing runs true to size? I am an 8 1/2 usually. Do I need to go up or down in sizing? That is a 38.5 correct?
I can't get to a Chanel store to try them on for the next week or so and I know if I wait that long, they will be gone. THANKS!!

p.s. Has anyone bough pre-loved flats? I usually don't buy shoes this way...

I too am usually an 8.5 and buy 39s (9) in Chanel--- they run a little small. My ballet flats are a 39. And nope on the question of pre-loved!! Have fun!

I find they run small as well. I'm a 38.5 or 39 (depending on the designer) and wear a 39 in the cap-toe ballerinas but my quilted ones are a 39.5. Pre-owned might be stretched out a little so might want to take that into consideration.

I'm true American 8.5, European 39. In flats I go to US 9, European 39.5. Yes I bought preloved 39.5, they're snug, because they were almost new. Also different leather fits differently. GL

I'm a US 7.5 M. I've been buying Chanel flats for many many years. I used to have to go way up in size to say a 38.5. In recent years it seems Chanel has made their flats a bit closer to standard US sizing and can sometimes (depending on the leather of the shoe) wear a 37.5, but typically it's a size 38.

I would go up at least a half size to be sure they're not too tight. If you buy pre-loved and they're a little big, you can use a shoe insert to take up just a bit of room.
Hope that helps because Chanel shoes are so fantastic!

yes. same thing for me. i'm usually a 39.5 -- but the chanel ballet flats, i take a 40. (all leather classic ones)
but i can wear a 39.5 (same is my reg size) if it's a tweed/cloth version

It's not just that CC shoes run a tad smaller than other brands but they are more on the narrow side regarding the fit. They're not as bad as CL or Jimmy choo but neither as wide as say Bally. IMO they are very similar to the fit of Salvatore Ferragamo or Manolo Blahnik, if that helps. I often found that Chanel shoes stretch a little, however, I normally take the next full size up.

ive tried chanel lambskin ballerinas display shoes im a sz 6 and sz 6 fits the display shoes perfectly but when i got the unworn ballerinas in sz 6 it was tight at the toe area. so i went to exchange it for 6.5 but then it feels a little loose. ive tried other ballerina chanel but with a harder material and 36.5 fits well for me.
