Do Chanel shoes run true to size?

Just weighing in: I generally wear a 9.5 Narrow. I have the Chanel Cambon Ballet flats in a 40 (I had to slip insoles in with the help of a SA at Nordstrom's, as they were good in length but my foot apparently is skinny from top to bottom), but in the new Jelly Camellia Sandals I had to go up to a 41 for length. I wear a 40 in most Prada shoes also if this helps someone.

So I guess it depends on the actual shoe...

I would say Chanel shoes are tre to size. I've got Cambon ballet flats which are 40 - a little to big for me so they are slipping away from my feet. The other pair I own is the sneakers with those funny laces. They are 39 and they are just perfect.

I agree with gladrags. I am a true US size 9/ UK size 7 and normally a Euro 40 in Chloe, YSL. With Chanel classic lambskin 2 toned ballerinas, I'm a 39.5 and am a 39 in stretch spirits and a 40-40.5 in seasonal flats :)

how comfortable are the Chanel ballerina flats? I have a high arch and find it hard to wear flats. Any feedback??

Norma, I have a high arch too. I found the ballerina flats with the pointed toes (more structure)

are more comfortable than my Cambon ballerina flats. I love the look of the Cambons better, but I find myself going for the other ones more, as they have more structure and fit my narrow foot/high arch better.

Hi Everyone,

I just bought a pair of Chanel motorcycle boots today. It is the pair with the zip across and are super light. Anyhow, I usually wear a 40 and I had to get the 40.5. So, I am test driving them at home right now, but I notice that when I walk, my big toe pushes against the front of the shoe, mainly on the side of my toe. But otherwise, they feel good.
I would like to know if anyone has experience with Chanel moto boots and if they stretch etc.? I love them and it is their biggest size. I had to run around all of Paris to get them, they were sold out almost everywhere.

TIA

elainerkitty: congrats on your boots! they're tdf!

I don't have those boots, but i have a pair of motorcycle boots from 10 years ago (roughly). I bought them in a 37 (my usual size) hoping they'd stretch with wear. 10 years later, they're still a bit tight and i attribute it to the fact that they're a bit narrower than i'm used to.

so, to answer your question, my boots haven't stretched out much in 10 years, but i deal with the snugness because i love them so much!

best of luck to you!

Thanks rhogiela.
I have compared the soles with my other boots and they are the right length. I think you may be right that they are probably a bit more narrow than the average boot. I love them so much and am just hoping that the leather will soften a bit. I bought them because they are light and since I walk so much in the city, I figure they would be perfect for this winter.

They are soooo gorgeous though, which may make me put up with the discomfort.

I like those motorcycle boots. but I have wide feet and if you say that it's narrow then I know it probably won't fit. Has anyone had their Chanel boots professionally stretched and did it work?

Well, I woke up this morning and decided that I need to take them back. My toes do touch when I walk and it may be 'ok' when I am at home, but when I walk in town, it is going to hurt after awhile.

They are gorgeous, but cost too much to fit improperly. The toe box is just a tad bit too narrow for me.

I guess it is simply not my destiny this time:(

I had to return mine as well. My foot is narrow and was flopping around in them in the width. Reading your post, I am wondering if there was a snafu in sizing this animal.

I don't know if you saw the black lamb boot that is plain w/red lining, called the Paris Moscou -- that fit much better but it's not the motorcycle style but a riding boot style. You might want to check it out and see if that works for you.
