Do Chanel shoes run true to size?

i have both of the types you are describing and I prefer the elastic- they are seriously SO SOFT and it feels like you don't even have any shoes on. My other pair, the ballet flats, are comfortable too, but I prefer the elastic.

Here they both are on my feet :)

Educate me -- thought all elastics are made the same. There was a piece at the back sewn in that joined the two sides and it was that uneven edge that seemed (no pun intended) to be the blood sucker. The regular ballet flats have a single seam, a smooth transition, and there's never been the attack of the heels.

These are the Can Can flats and there is a piece in the back that does stick out a bit and it is patent. It does rub. I stuck on those heel no slide cushions from Nordies and they are perfect now. They were also a little big on me so it worked great! The traditional Stretch Spirits - the beige pic. OP has in the first post - does not have this. They are much more comfy! HTH

i have a pair of classics in cream and gold lambskin

how do i clean them when they are dirty?

argh

is there no way to ever clean them at all?

I tried with Apple leather conditioner but it doesn't clean at all.. just left a smudgey mark.. i used appleguard repellant on the shoes before wearing.. so i had thought it would be ok..

but now they are slightly dirty

I've got the same pair and I found the same thing hurt my foot too-that patent tab at the back of the shoe. What helped me is storing them with cedar shoe trees inside of them. It helped to soften that hard tab at the back.

oh no bummer!! Well I am trying the Cambon flats this week so I will report back on those too. Personally, I do not like the look but heard they are incredible comfortable!

I haven't had any issues with my cambon flats and was literally able to wear mine right out of the store. I shopped all afternoon while wearing my brand new cambon flats and not once did the flats hurt my feet.

The elastic ones just bite into my heels every single time I totally regret them!

You can't return shoes after wearing them right? I read some of the girls in the earlier posts saying that they returned the shoe after they realised that it hurt wearing them.

I took mine back to NM. I made the mistake of wearing them shopping. I was limping and was soo tempted to go barefoot because I was skin-less. I should have worn them around the house on the carpet or put tape across the bottoms to avoid the wear look. It's weird wearers have prob and others not. So lesson, wear them at home for a few hours at a time. (Or drive over those heels to break them in pdq-- kidding but tempting nonetheless.)
