I have always loved Hermes scarves, shawls, belts, and jewelry. When i buy these, it is because I LOVE these items and wear them. I have every H accessory that I have purchased or has been given to me. (TEN years and counting!) Yes, I have some beautiful Hermes kellys, birkin, KP, and Constance, but I NEVER purchased these to play "a game" with Hermes hoping to get offered a bag. I was a Chanel and Goyard gal, and never dreamed that I would purchase an Hermes bag. After learning about these handmade items, the craftsmanship, and history, I fell in love with the brand and then started buying the bags from my boutique. (Only one of them, my indigo kelly, didn't come from my store. I got that one at FSH in 2015.) What I think is interesting is that every luxury brand has their loyal customers. I'm sure that if I walked into a Chanel boutique today asking for a limited item, they would laugh at me and tell me to go back to Hermes!

I came back to say, didn't Louis Vuitton do a limited edition bag called the Sac Louis where you had to be invited to place a special order for it? I read stories on the LV forum about secret rooms with special champagne and showings for the VIPs at LV.

Your opinion isn't more valid than mine because you own Hermes bandanas.
Your 'amazing' experience at Hermes doesn't mirror others.
I'm allowed to listen to people who I trust and care about.
People matter more than brands.
I'm allowed my opinion, it doesn't have to mirror yours and you have to deal with it.
MY OPINION MIRROR LOTS OF OTHERS, who get treated equally well or better than I do because they’ve been around longer.
Our experiences are more valued because they’re based on EXPERIENCES, not HEARSAY. We went to the store, met nice SAs, met some not so nice SAs, no different than any other shop or department store we’ve ever shopped at.
You see, calling their scarves ‘bandanas’ is a dig. What for? You said you wanted one...

Bandanas isn't a 'dig'??? I wear them? If you go onto the Hermes website, you see pics of models wearing scarves as bandanas?

And my opinion is based on relatives / people I care about EXPERIENCES. Just cause they differ to yours doesn't mean they are 'Hearsay'.

If their experiences are so ABOMINABLE and respected by you to the point you’ll never give H a chance & take their opinions as a given, please don’t shop there. Why are we even talking about this?
You hate Hermès and some of us don’t. Don’t shop there. We will. What’s there to be discussed further?

Hello swanky, can we close this thread? Why are we allowing all these irrelevant negative vibes and attackings by one individual to go on and on? Also I can’t understand the title of the thread :eek:what is so disgusted about over a handbag? :confused1:Please kindly consider closing this thread..... thank you.
Reminder to be kind. You definitely don’t have to agree with people, but you are required to remain respectful.

Happy Holidays!

NEVER, ever talk to me like that again.

Some people are offering opinions and experiences, some just came to be combative...regardless. Some of us have good experiences, some not. As others have said I've had terrible services at places that sell coffee, not just "snobby" luxury brands. If you choose not to give those companies your hard earned money, so be it..those companies won't be losing any sleep over it.

A $12k luxury bag experience to me would be taking me into a private room, offering refreshments, bringing me what's in-store, letting me handle leather and hardware swatches, and potentially being gracious about not having whatever crazy combination I may want in stock, but being willing to custom-make it in a timely manner.
The custom orders come later, but that’s exactly how it is
Even looking through this forum you’ll find that people here tend to be loyal to Hermès and love a wide variety of what they have to offer. That is exactly what they want-clients, not one and done customers.
Why do you think so many people are loyal to Hermès? Because they get treated like the ‘horror’ stories or there’s something else to it? Funny enough, the few times SAs were a bit stuck up, I didn’t buy anything. Every single time I bought a bag or anything else, my experience was flawless (especially when buying a bag).

Things elevated quickly here! I feel like H fans are just being baited for reactions at this point.
Thank you for pointing it out. You’re probably right, especially after some uncalled for digs like calling QF ‘classy’ and ‘elegant’ (which she is IN SPADES! ).
I came, I defended a brand I love, my fellow H lovers who I adore & have a great time with on a daily basis (Bastia popped up as I typed, then Poppy lol) & since we are keeping it classy, I’m out as well. Peace!
