am new to the hermes forum, pls be kind.
have a question re. size.
i just received a 35cm black togo birkin as a present. even though it measures right, it oddly looks smaller.. almost like a 30cm. is that common with black? even the SA at my local hermes commented that it looked small, took out a ruler and all, and was fidgiting with it cos it just really looks oddly small. bag was bought in luxemberg and i'm in asia. i'm 1.65m and 58kg (blaming that on my 4 month old boy) and the SA thought i was carrying a 30cm.

Here are some Kelly bags for size comparison.

Kelly 40 and Kelly 28

Kelly 40 retourne and kelly 35 rigide. It does make a difference when its rigide. Bag appears larger.

Kelly 40 next to birkin 35 (wow, Kelly 40 packs a punch!)

Courcheval leather isn't all that stiff!

Kelly train. 28, 32, 35 and 40

35 Kellys. Rigide in front and two retournes in the back.

You can appreciate the size of the 40 Kelly next to this Chanel jumbo sized flap

Could someone explain to me the difference in size & shape of a JPG and Birkin II? The JPGs I see pics of seem longer than one picture of a Birkinn II (which looked perfect!) but I've found no other reference to that style...
