hey gals I'm totally ashamed of Singapore's poor service sector. They R freaking arrogant i AGREE  they seems to forget their 'SA' status. So many a times when i decides to check the Stores esp Miu Miu, i always find thrill in refreshing their status memory by dressing up, wearing my most expensive watch, make up, chignon my hair in another words dress like a tai tai... so obviously they sense my presence when i enter...flocking to me with their yellowish teeth smiles... I'll deliberately become difficult getting them to show me every colour from most designs...I'll tempt them by whispering to my hubby 'I think i'll take these 4 how ... what do u think?'...my hubby played along...'hmm not nice, next, hmm not nice get the more expensive one la not much diff anyway'...you'll see the SA's smiles gets wider... n finally when they hv sweat enuf... I'll quote a colour for that particular design knowing they wont hv it.... n leave graciously... kekeke ! Wow U shud see the look in their eyes... nearly popped out kakaka :wtf:evil me i know but i just hate their arrogance !!

this is good!! haha, but i not sure if my hubby will plays along. :P

but your hubby is nice to do that, hehe! next time we can shop miu miu together!

anyway i was there last sat, the service is bad except there's this chinese lady who was friendly and helpful! :)

maybe this chinese lady has been complained before so she decides to change her attitude kakaka

Anyway my hubby usually do not like to get involved in the girls *****y thingy but he can see their expression for himself too when previously he visited the store with me after my yoga session so i was like in track pants, flip flops n all sweaty... they didn't even see our existance aigh...:confused1:

I had a bad experience last year when I wanted to purchase a bag in Paragon. And last Monday the SAs repeated their terrible attitudes, preferring to serve foreigners rather than the local customers. They actually turned from me and walked towards the tourist. I am ashamed to be a fellow Singaporean.

I've been trying to find the email contact of the Singapore Prada stores but to no avail. Even the international website doesn't show any contact details. I've read through most of the posts in the forum but I'm still unable to find any way to write in and complain about the appalling service in the Singapore Prada store. The service in Paris was so much better, and I managed to leave the store happily with my new buy. Why can't Singapore SAs learn a lil???

Cool down... what's new...some of us has experience yr unhappiness esp with Miu Miu n even Prada... well sad to say Singaporean SA R still not trained intensive enuf on service. ThE best service i experience so far is Giodarno! Gio SA has beat these high end boutiques hands down !!:yahoo:

same thing happens to me with my last trip to HK Miu Miu...

well.. when I was in the store browsing (I did quite young with the way I dressed, so no one really paid attention to me)....tried to get someone's attention to help me for few times...... but the second my DH came in (who is a foreigner) few SAs started to approach me... offering me to put bags that I am interested on hold... blah blah blah... so whenever I got shopping in HK, I always have my "ghostly" DH with me!!! hehe

Same experience with me. I always pull my 'kwai loh' DH with me and the trick works!

haha, but i never see that SA before, maybe I did not bother to go down anymore :P I prefer SAs from On Pedder, they are really service-oriented! :p

anyway i hate SAs who service customers based on appearance, and nationality.... so bad of the SA who ignore you. :(

Wow! This thread has certainly grown!

When I first posted this thread to vent, I did not expect so many gals (and men) to have experienced the same lousy service.

Anyways, I do want to contribute a quick update. I visited Singapore again earlier this year and am pleased to note that service at Prada has certainly improved. I can't say the same for Miu Miu. :shrugs:

At Miu Miu, an SA sighed condescendingly when I asked about a Sandalo coffer. He said that it was 'old stock' (meaning past season) and insisted that the boutique only carried new colors. This is pretty interesting since I distinctly saw a gleeful customer paying for a coffer in the exact color just as he made the comment.

He was also very reluctant to help me with selections. I wanted to buy a lux shopper for my sister as a present but since he was so rude, I didn't bother.

The joke was on him though. I had previously shopped at Prada (the boutique is in the same mall) the other day and a Prada SA recognized and greeted me. I think she was picking up a purse to be shipped together with another customer's Prada purchases.

LOL. The Miu Miu SA became a lot nicer but I had already made up my mind not to buy from the boutique. Two strikes and you are out!

My experience at Prada was a lot nicer. Is it a new policy or is Prada serving food and drinks as part of their new 'be nice' policy? They offered Dh and I hors d'oeuvre, drinks, and great service.

We ended up buying a new suit, shirt, and shoes for DH. I did feel bad for the two servers who were kept extremely busy with tray after tray of food and drinks!

I skipped LV this time. Chanel's service was impeccable as usual and Christian Louboutin was outstanding.

Hi there linpaddy! It's been a long time :)

Glad to know you finally received good service at Prada. You're right, I think they've improved too.
I went there a couple of times and noticed that the SAs there are almost completely different from before and they're definitely much better.

I'm surprised you got good service from Chanel tho'. It's always crowded and usually no one was available for me. And when they were, I didn't feel that they were making much effort.

Was at Miu Miu just this Monday. I asked the SA if they have any bag that is available in grey colour. She gave me a ONE-WORD answer, didn't even bother looking at me as she was wrapping something. Totally not interested in serving me or even tried to sell another design/colour to me...

I was carrying my Balenciaga bag but attire wise was quite casual - t-shirt and skinny pant. Maybe the young Chinese SA is not familiar with Balenciaga??!!

I second yr compliments for On Pedder.. they R really service orientated !! Even if you go in shabbily after my yoga.. they serve you effortlessly !!

I went down Miu Miu with my buddy yesterday to hv a quick look immecably dressed of course kakaka... the SA swarmed up buT we IgNoRe !! we walk in muTe n walked out muTe ignoring their existence !! the "dooR opening/BeLL boy" SA apologised profusly cos the dooR slipped his hands n nearly closed it on me... i gave him the bulging staRe n walked out wahahaha:yahoo:

fooLs...forgetting their status !!

Mashi - I think they dun know Balenciaga...wahaha !

Hi Spendalot!

:) Yup, it's been a while! Travel and work limited my time on TPF this year!

Regarding Chanel, since I'm a visitor, I usually visit the shops in the afternoon.
There are usually less people so I guess the SAs are not too busy.

Weekends are the worst days for shopping especially in smaller cities since the malls are usually very popular and crowded!

Hmm, I'm not sure if this would lead to a cycle of bad service. While some SAs may be mean, I subscribe to the policy of being polite if somebody is being nice.

Again, I'm not that familiar with Singapore SAs since I'm only a visitor. :smile1:

So much of this disappointing service at Singapore Prada and Miu Miu store.
Maybe someone should tell the SA,they are there to sell and we are there to buy.
I am going there later, so maybe if some SA do the same thing to me, I should highlight that to them before buying any stuff.:cursing:
