Disappointing Service at Singapore Prada and Miu Miu stores

Maybe I have just had bad experiences in SG so far...but as for purchasing bags- totally went down the drain when when you get little or no level of service .

As for Syd's public transport... I haven't caught it since High School, so I have no idea what state it is in atm. As Fashion in my personal opinion is still better in Syd... we have so many FAB local designers like Lover & Yeojin Bae... Morrissey and Arthur G are main stream AU fashion brands that do get their inspirations from international design houses. But fashion in SG is pretty bad (not talking about interntional fashion houses) The only local (i think its local in sg) brand that I am totally in love with is alldressedup!!!!! :girlsigh::girlsigh: I could be in the store the whole day~~~~~~

The public transport has become much worst when I first came here to live, imagine the train breaking down on the harbour bridge for like 4 hours before I could get out of the train and walk to milson point. Yeah I hate Sg fashion, the local fashion scene is mostly made of cheap tshirt prints, I guess its very much because of the weather as well. My best friend is actually a close friend of Yeojin Bae though :D

Really????LOVE LOVE Yeojin Bae! LUCKY GALS!!! :girlsigh: I really miss Syd shopping... >.< And I also miss being able to walk down the street without my make up running down my face and on to my clothes!!! Can't wait till I'm there in July for a break~~

Have to say that the MRT in SG is excellent. Cheap and quick- faster than being caught up in peak hour traffic... just glad that cars in Aust cheaper than SG so I can have car when I move back~~~:wlae::wlae:

I would say customer service at Prada, LV and Chanel stores in Bangkok are pretty good, they are very patient, they will go through item after item with you, no pressure and giving you all the time you need to make decision.

I was pretty impressed with Prada's service here. About 2 months ago, I was looking for Prada glace clutch from A/W 07 and called up the store to see if they still have it, they said they don't have it in store already but they can check at their warehouse in HK. Within an hour, they called back and said they could ship it back here if I want to see it. After 2 days, they shipped the clutch back to the store and instead of just one, they brought back two different colors for me to choose. That really made my day! :)

Dear all,

Something happened to me when I broughtmy Prada bag in for repair as the internal lining was torn. The malay SAs spoke to each other, complaining about me being fussy, and for a small tear, I "actually" dared to request them to change the entire internal lining.

Coolly, I spoke back to them in malay ( since I am of baba descent ), "If the quality of your bag is so good, would I have to send them in??. Both were shocked and stuttered. I told them, "Enough of your nonsense and issue me the repair slip. You guys are really incompetent!".

After that, the manage came. I told him what happened. The SAs apologised. I walked out.

Thats absolutely appalling! You should write a formal letter to complain.

I recently got my bag back after repair, my second time sending it in. I was not happy with them not contacting me when my bag came back. Both times, I had to call up myself after months and found out that the bag was already back from repair. The repair work was sloppily done and the stitching horrendous. When I complained to the SA, he just stood there and said thats the only way and the best they can do. :yucky: Not one to argue, I took it back. They have got to be the worse sales and after sales service I have ever encountered.

Do you know the name of the manager? Or give me a description of the person? I would really like to know. Thanks.

hmm...I was looking forward to buying a couple of bags from the Taka LV when in Singapore for the F1!!! Judging by this thread, I shudnt bother? Havent been there since my first LV purchase in 2003 LOL :)

oh I was just lurking in the Prada forum to see how popular the fairy bag is! Love the look but not sure if the Auckland DFS Prada will even get any.

Oh and I have to add, I was treated like a princess at Prada Milan; the SA phoned just about every boutique to track down a pair of boots for me. She found them in Florence, where I picked them up 6 days later! They'd kept them for me all that time, even though I'd said I wasn't sure I'd buy them (wanted to try them on first, naturally). I was really surprised by the great service, but after having read all your stories I'm quite shocked by the way some SA's treat customers. I'll check out Prada's NYC boutiques in August-just hope they're a bit nicer!
