That's so obnoxious. I experienced the same bad service there last week, sadly...Hong Kong SAs were soooo much more helpful and nice. I love Singapore, but not the high end stores there.

Never step into LV at Taka...it seriously seriously sux, especially when it comes to locals like me,they dun give a damn about you. Extremely rude.

But Prada at Paragon was great IMO,bought my wallet a few days back there. Great service!! I gave up LV for Prada, coz LV service seriously sux and too expensive already. Prada seems much better and more cost effective =)

initially HK service is quite bad, but recent year they really improved alot. If you gals tried your shopping in Japan, Taiwan you will appreciate the word of 'Service"

Oh gosh, I love Japan's service. I remember once me and my mum entered a department store right when it opened and ALL the store staff where at the entrance bowing for the customers! Apparently they do that every morning in department stores! I was like ":wtf:".

Then when my mum was trying on this coat, she had two SAs helping her. One holding the coat she wanted to try on and the other helping her remove her current coat. And when she bought the coat, they took our bag to the door of the shop, opened the door and vowed us goodbye! I was just in complete awe! haha

yes agree with ya as i have expereicne it tooo :cursing: BUT that changed after i got my regular SA in LV and PRADA:yes: they always let me knwo what coming and hold items i liek till i come and check it out..that hwo i got my black taiga iphone case :graucho:

I think the worst LV store was the one in Raffles Hotel, I remember this lady her hair was so messy and she was like eating noodles in a transparent package over the LV counter, it was like 4pm in the afternoon. LUNCH???? then there was no one else in the store main floor, so I just went up and said: "I'm sorry to disturb you eating, could you just grab the vernis coin pouch and let me have alook at it, I will look at it myself." She yelled and said this "Dunno Dunno Don't have anymore, left one on display you wanna see see." Then another lady came out, I ask the other SA if the other lady was having PMS to yelled at a customer like that.

So far i think the best SA i ever came across was the kind lady with short bob hair in Bottega Veneta in Paragon, I walked in with shorts and thongs (although I was carrying a Muse bag) and I wanted to look at a bag that costs SGD$13000 and she happily let me play with the bag for like an hour, telling me to look through other design and not decide so instantly over the bag, she even called other BV outlets for the colors I wanted, after 2 hours in the store of trying on everything and happily chatting, I left without buying anything and she said she was please to have serve me and hope I will be able to make up my decision soon on the $13000 BV bag as there is only 1 in Singapore. That's really service.

LV's SA (bad attitude cause they take it for granted that if you don't buy other customers will buy from me), PRADA's (arrogant and lazy as if they are earning $20000 a month except for this malay lady at Prada DFS), Miu Miu SA (good as not being there except for this guy manager), YSL's (Very confused about their product, cannot tell the difference between grey and silver products or define them within the same color range), Channel SA (Very confused and proud), Fendi SA (Pretty decent, should learn to speak at proper times), Club 21 Hilton SA (good as not being there, but generally pretty friendly)

Lol,I heard quite a few nice comments on SAs at DFS,Hilton and Raffles Hotel. Quite shock the hear a complain on Raffles Hotel though. Well the poor service and increasing prices turned me away from LV and so now I am here :p

LV is just pathetic....Prada was so far so gd I have to say. Went there once to see my wallet then after to buy it. I m going back there again.:woohoo:

sorry to hear bout the crappy service in Singapore's high end boutiques. my parents still live in singapore and my mum doesn't ever visit Prada or Miu Miu anymore because of their lack in quality of customer service. much less LV.

that's why she'd rather shop online or take her business to HK!

my mum used to have a VERY nice SA in LV takashimaya. but she has since left. partly because of the people that she has to work with now. say alot doesn't it?

I have recently moved to Singapore from Sydney, and I have also noticed the lack of service from SA's. I have been to Miu Miu and Prada also here and received no help fro SAs what so ever. And like an earlier TPF member said, the only good service is at YSL in Paragon.... But in general, the service is pretty bad in Singapore (not just in branded stores), and I find that for an Asian country, they are pretty slow at getting things done ( I have lived in other Asian countries and EVERYTHING is verrrrry efficent).

But one good thing about the lack of service is that you are free to browse without having someone tagging next to you.

Sometimes I really do think that the SAs in Singapore (Prada & LV etc) can become very complacent as the demand for high end luxury products are so high in Singapore, they always have these thought that if you don't buy there were always be other, I think that is why they don't really bother you. As for the speed of getting things done, Singapore efficiency definitely beats Sydney hands down. Not only the sales and retail, Sydney's public transport is the biggest joke on earth. I was raised in Singapore and I am currently living in Sydney, Everything in Sydney is so slow esp the fashion (always 1 to 2 seasons late), I think most of the Australian fashion designers feel that Australian don't travel enough to see that they are always copying the designs of big fashion names. Morrissey(deem itself as high end Australian fashion) but when you walk into the store, the concept is gucci+chloe+prada. Arthur Galan (Arthur G) everything is from Prada and Karl Largafield. Club 21 recently opened again in sydney, as sydney is always getting left overs from HK or Asia in Singapore, even the new arrivals in club 21 are stuff i seen going on sale for 50 to 70% in Singapore.

I'm sorry to hear that such thing happens in Singapore. Honestly speaking, I give up on buying anymore LV in Singapore. The SAs are so rude and not sincere in handling customers. Nowadays, I only go overseas when I shop for LV. Prada and Miu Miu, to me the service is pretty okay. I must say the ebst service is at BV and Hermes despite most of their items are at S$10k range.

i find the service at miu miu to be so-so, but the male sa who served me when i bought my bow bag on saturday was quite friendly, and very patient considering that i took an hour or so to decide which design to get

Maybe I have just had bad experiences in SG so far...but as for purchasing bags- totally went down the drain when when you get little or no level of service .

As for Syd's public transport... I haven't caught it since High School, so I have no idea what state it is in atm. As Fashion in my personal opinion is still better in Syd... we have so many FAB local designers like Lover & Yeojin Bae... Morrissey and Arthur G are main stream AU fashion brands that do get their inspirations from international design houses. But fashion in SG is pretty bad (not talking about interntional fashion houses) The only local (i think its local in sg) brand that I am totally in love with is alldressedup!!!!! :girlsigh::girlsigh: I could be in the store the whole day~~~~~~
